Maintaining a strict keeping by the breeder is responsible behaviour that should be upheld. Keeping a cat safe is paramount even before thinking about winning a contest. All entrants will have the minimal paperwork to certify that the cat is in good health by a qualified vet.

Micro-chipping is essential for this part of entry and those without any micro-chipping will not be allowed to enter. Keeping a cat vaccinated is crucial and those who have travelled with their cat will be aware of the many requirements of gaining a cat passport. For instance, while many cats have their basic vaccines in their younger stages of life, the requirement for a rabies vaccine may not be needed locally due to no presence in the country. This is not the case for attending foreign events and countries and so these should be applied well in advance.
