Naked Woman with An Umbrella In The Rain
There's not too much to say about this one. I didn't have any underlying message- but... we can pretend that I said something brilliant like "Maybe it seems like you're exposed, and it's raining on your parade, you can still enjoy the view." or something... but I do know that I was working towards a few things.
1)As I've mentioned in many of my posts, I am in pursuit of mastery of the human form.
2)Texture! Lots of brush scraping went on here to get the downwards motion of the rain.
3)Contrast - The beauty of this piece is the contrasts. You have a solid form surrounded by "rain" (an amorpheous shape). The colors are all playing off each other, since there is a massive contrast between the cool colors and the warm/hot colors.
I have many nudes, but I enjoy the ones that could be anyone.... Where it's not a specific person. This is a good example of that.
I like very much the texture of the paint and the contrast generated by the blue against the red umbrella...
Oh yes, the girl, I forgot, she had some very nice curves, I love it.

Like I said - plenty of practice to get to mastery.... I'm not there yet (although... let's see... this one is from: 2018-08-14... I'm pretty sure I've improved my anatomy knowledge in the past year.
i was teasing you. womans perspective of anatomical possibilities...
I stand by my words, I've got much distance to travel still.

eh dear @theartofori, your work is very beautiful! it's nice to even get involved by saying that you are learning and gradually improving! you are a humble artist. I love the colors, the contrasts as you say, that red umbrella is beautiful, maybe more than the backside of the young lady :-)) and I really appreciate that the thighs of Miss X are so big, much more real than you might think !! good job
