Views from Over the FDR Highway at Peter Detmold Park

In my Wednesday walk post this morning, I showed you Peter Detmold Park in Manhattan, and mentioned the views from the raised walkway over the park and this post I will share with you some of the views.

This is the elevated walkway that goes over the park and dog park and if you walk forward as see in this shot you walk over the FDR Highway.

Looking one way from the end of the walkway you look to the left and you can see the 59th Street Bridge crossing over Roosevelt Island.
This bridge is known by many names as well as the 59th Street Bridge, it's also called the Queensboro Bridge and and officially titled the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge.

And looking the over way you look over the FDR which as always is busy with traffic and you see looking down over the east side of Manhattan, the tall building in the center is the United Nations Secretariat building.
