Towers old and new
I thought in this post I would share some shots taken near the World Trade Centre site taken recently, which I call old and new with two contrasting buildings rising into the sky, one pretty new and one old, well old for NYC standards not compared to some in Europe.
In the first shot, we have World Trade Center Tower one on the left and the spire of St Pauls chapel on the right

THis second shot shows Tower one of the world Trade center standing tall and proud. The tower stands 1776 Feet (541) Meters Tal, the height is a reference to the year 1776 wqhen the United States Declaration of Independence was signed.

And this next shot is of the spire of St Pauls Chapel, was built in 17776 and is the oldest surving church building in Manhattan.

These are wonderful photos of these towers. The contrast between the two towers is a fantastic view, great angle, wonderful position for this photograph.

It is so interesting to see how architectural "styles" and what is considered contemporary changes over the years. I'm sure that cathedral was quite modern for the time in which it was built, but the world Trade Center looks like something quite "out of this world" next to it. lol Imagine what the next 100 years will look like! Great shots, love that blue sky :)
Yes i find that fascinating as well seeing the different styles from different era,s is always so interesting isnt it, and as you say in 100 years it will all change
