Mono Market Friday around NYC
Mono Market Friday around NYC
A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, for this week I have decided tho go with a Mono Market Friday of little Markets around NYC,
These posts are not from the past week or two but ones I had took on previous walsk with Market Friday in mind, but had not used, I had to go through my files looking for hsots for this week spost as I havent been out with my camera for over a week now for personal reasons, infact I havent even been carrying my carry in my city bag, its drivign me nuts but I am hioping next week I will be back to normal with photo walks, but I have made an alternative plan and put my little and light GoPro in my bag for work tomorrow and may try playing withit again.

The first two shots are taken in Brooklyn near the Metro Tech Campus, this first one is a common little stall you see all around NYC, they sell all kind of things from Lotto, Cigarettes, Candy cold drinks etc etc, and of course if you want a warm drink there is a Starbucks just behind it.

And in the same area was this little stall selling rolls and such along with hot drinks, at the time I was there the Starbucks seemed to be doing better business, but if I had wanted something I would have gone to this little stall myself I like ot try and support small businesses.

Now we are near Greerly Square on 6th Ave and 32nd Street, this sells a good variety of food items such as Empanadas and pastries, but also sells coffee beer and wine.

great shot photography my friend, amazing @tattoodjay
Thanks Kindly
I love this collection of monochrome pictures. I especially like the different kind of shades. Very nice.
Thanks I do try and mix it up a little :)
Nice shots! These little businesses are really cool. I was always fascinated by them and the various street vendors that you would run into all over the place when I visited New York. It is amazing the variety of things you can find on the street.
Thanks and yes there is always so ugh to see on the streets, its bene driving me nuts this week carry a lighter back pack into the city and hence leaving my big camera at home, but I found and charged up myGoPro yesterday so have that with me today will see if I can get some shots
And hope I get cleared to be bbakc to normal soon

Do not miss the last post from @steemitboard:
Interesting. Not food carts or food trucks. Small kiosks. They tried one of these near our local BART (light rail) but not enough foot traffic here I don't think. Nice street pictures. Good luck with the Go-Pro :)
Thanks and these sort of Kiosks are all over the city here and seem to do real good business
howdy sir JJ! ph these little joints are so interesting. I suppose their overhead is relatively small compared to a large building so the potential is there, the little booth sized ones are crazy small!
I think many start with these little stalls with the low overhead with a plan to eventually save and grow bigger
thanks for your visit
You scored a home run and didn't even have to leave the office! Now that is what I call efficient!
The little stands that sell food and whatnots (anything other than food) are pure wisdom on your part doing them in the many shades of mono. Quite eclectic, but it really stretches my imagination on what I can do with it. You are so perfectly tuned with making the shadow and light count in you shots.
I forgot about those artisan hand-held foods booths. I suppose even a hotdog can fit this category, right? :)
As always, you send me the most wonderful posts and I am so grateful for the time and energy you spend putting them together. I love perusing the city with you and I want to also thank you for dropping the link to make it easier to find yours.
Thanks again, my friend!

Always a pleasure ot join and have a good weekend :)
