It feels like Winter
It feels like Winter
Actually, I am not sure if my title is apt today, as I haven't been out much today other than a quick run well drive to the supermarket, but it was pretty cool and damp out there today, but there was still plenty of snow around at that time, looking out the window now a lot was melted away with the rain, but still a good coating of a few inches on the grassy areas.
I was asked to submit some photos for consideration for the Winter Issue of the City Magazine, so was looking through some of my winter shots and thought I would share a couple in a post this evening.

This is a shot from a previous winter looking towards out city hall over a little park and statue, even in winter and the cold iit is such a beautiful area.

And this is a sht on the other side of the city hall from the first shot, looking over the Duck pond with the church in the background.
In case your wondering yes those footprints in the snow were mine, I would have done better to head to this spot and get this shot before I walked over the snow, but it only when I got to this spot that I wish I had done that.
Seeing this shot when I was looking through my archives also reminded me why I am being sensible and staying indoors and following Doctors orders, I know myself well enough and I know if I had gone to this spot today to get shots I would have walked all over the spot including over the snow to get to good angles and definitely not be taking it easy,
and infact on the day of this shot, after taking this shot I went to walk down the slope to get another angle and slipped and slid down the bank and into the little river, dislocating my knee, so remembering that motivated me to stay sensible at home nice and warm.
unless stated otherwise all photos used in my posts are taken and owned by myself, if you wish to use any of my images please contact me.

Oh my goodness, I can't believe you slid and dislocated your knee!! I guess that is a photographers plight! :) Beautiful snow pictures @tatoodjay!
I smashed both my knees badly when I was 18 and never really did all the follow up treatment I should have, so I am paying the price these days LOL
Gorgeous shots @tattoodjay, you paid the price with your knee dislocation but thank goodness it's only a memory now, you captured winter in all its glory! Good luck with the magazine submission :)
Thanks, due to an injury when I was 19 I will have knee problems on and off forever now but all in all its not to bad
thanks for the visit

howdy sir JJ! oh man, dislocated knee....ouch! But the photos are wonderful, the first magnificent building with the WWI statue and the stately church in the other one, tremendous..but glad you didn't have to get out in it to get them!
I smashed both of my Knees when I was 18 and didnt exactly follow the Drs advice, so nnow as I get older I feel the side effects LOL
howdy again JJ...oh..ouch yes I understand. I have issues with my back from doing stupid things in my youth that have come back to haunt me so I can totally relate!
the price we pay for having a fun time in our younger years
So beautiful! East coast in the winter has west coast beat! At least for all that charming Hallmark card beauty. Thanks for sharing these shots. I am glad you didn’t stumble into a river to get more! ☺️ ❄️ ⛄️

Thanks I do love the hallmark card like beauty but not the temperatures
