This is a post for Monomad hosted by @brumest - Tuesday - Street
And also perhaps it could fit for @juliank’s daily challenge of Tuesday Cityscape photography
This is a shot of the Americana Hotel in Times Square , and I thought the style of this building really stood out in a Monochrome Image
I do not know a lot about this hotel but here is what I read on the web.
The Amritania Hotel which is 5 blocks from Central Park is a modern Hotel housed Ina. Beaux Arts building, and is also only 5 Minutes walk from Carnegie Hall and 3 Minutes walk from the Rockefeller Plaza.

Busy starting off my taxes this afternoon, so have not been on here much.Spent ages with tech support for Turbotax. Story of my life. LOL! I plan to do a little a day so that I don't get too overwhelmed!
That’s something I will have to learn in a couple of years time I guess
I used to pay an accountant, but she just used Turbotax anyway. By the time I had gathered all the paperwork and answered all the questions on the questionnaire, I had pretty much done it myself anyway.
Entering it all is the easy part. Turbo Tax asks you the questions and you answer them - so easy! I have 3 separate contracts with Getty, so I get 3 separate 1099s from them alone. I have a few more 1099s from other agencies, but have to have a record of art print sales from other sites. It’s easy to enter them all, and you can stop and go back whenever you want to. I dont even have to enter my husband’s w2 information. As soon as I give the employer number, it gets automatically imported from them!
I used to use Quickbooks, and that made it even easier for the accountant, as the info gets imported right into Turbotax, giving the accountant a very easy job! Turbotax even searches for deductions you may be missing based on the work you tell it you do! I find it very user friendly, but they updated the software this year and somehow I wasn't getting fields filled in automatically which it does from last year’s filing! Tech support got it straightened out for me. The first year you use it is probably the hardest because you have to enter all your information. After that, it grabs it from the previous year on record.
No commission from Turbotax! Lol! Oh, wait a minute, I did see that they give a discount on my software use for the year for referrals! I honestly did not remember that as I was writing about it. 😂😂😂
