Hey Steemians die Natur zeigt heute mal wieder was sie kann auf Fuerteventura. Die Beiden ersten Fotos sind beide mit dem gleichen Blick von meiner Dachterasse aufgenommen. Normalerweise erstrahlt das Meer wunderbar blau, doch heute scheint es verschwunden. Es ist unglaublich heiß, der Wind fühlt sich an wie ein heißer Föhn, den man sich vor das Gesicht hält. Es ist Kalima! Doch was ist Kalima?
Kalima eine Wetterlage mit Ostwind auf den Kanarischen Inseln, die als „Sandwind aus Afrika“ beschrieben werden kann. Die Spanier sagen auch Bruma seca(„trockener Nebel“).
Die Kalima in den Sommermonaten (Juni bis September) können wegen der Kombination mit starkem Wind und heißer Luft starke Schäden an der Vegetation anrichten. Auch im Winter kommt der Kalima ebenfalls vor, der Wind ist dann aber weniger heiß.

Der Kalima ist in Lagen bis 300 Meter über dem Meer akut. In höheren Lagen hingegen sind die Temperaturen deutlich niedriger. Er entsteht in der Sahelzone und treibt auch zahlreiche Schwalben wie einen Spielball durch die Lüfte vor sich her. Dann landen sie auf Fuerteventura, weil diese kanarische Insel am nächsten an ihrer 800 km entfernten Heimat ist, und sterben dort oftmals an Entkräftung.
Das heißt der Wüstenwind kommt über eine Entfernung von 800 km zu uns!
