Tiger Wood misses The Open 2019 cut

After being treated on the back, Woods swing was more accurate than the first round. "Super Tiger" reached par71 on the second day, but the -1 point in this round was not enough to correct mistakes on the opening day. With a total score of +6, Woods could not reach the top 80 golfers and was cut off.

Woods started off with an exciting second round when birdies were from more than eight meters away. Four consecutive par points followed by the second birdie of the day on Hole 6. Bogey hole 7 does not make "Super Tiger" lose its rhythm. The 43-year-old Golfer continues to birdies on holes 10 and 11, to pull the total score to +4.

Woods needs three to four more birdies in the last seven holes to stay with the tournament. But five consecutive par points make the "Super Tiger" impatient in the last two holes. Woods bogey both holes 17 and 18 and finishes the tournament with +6 points.

After winning the Masters in April, Woods only played four more, including three majors. Two of them were at the PGA Championship and The Open, the 15 majors owner was cut off. Poor preparation is considered to be the reason why Woods played disappointed at The Open. "Super Tiger" did not hold a club for nearly a month before the tournament in Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland this week.

Woods will continue to rest and prepare for FedEx Cup play-offs. "Super Tiger" is expected to return to the Northern Trust in early August in New Jersey. For the chance to defend the title of the Championship Tour last year, Woods needs to secure a place in the top 30 FedEx Cup scorecards.

Though, Woods insists that he will not exert much effort in the final months of the year. The goal of extending the career of "Super Tiger" is the top priority.
