[Task-Request SwapSteem] - Add escrow button to swapsteem.online

Details

Swapsteem is a peer to peer chat server for steemians based on rocket.chat open source application.
As a part of this task request, we want to add an escrow option inside the chat screen on the swapsteem.online application. As shown in the below picture, we have a fully working chat server powered by rocket chat.

We want to Add a option For escrow operations Below the File attachment menu that will display Escrow menu as follows.

Escrow Menu

  • Create Escrow
  • Escrow Actions

Upon Clicking the sub menu item, we need to show a modal to take escrow transaction details shown in screenshots from esteem surfer app.

This modal will take the required details from user and redirect user to a steemconnect hot signing link to complete the transaction. You can learn more about hot signing url for steemconnect here
We will also need to generate a unique id for escrows dynamically.

This modal will ask for an escrow Id and display options for escrow as shown in above picture. This will also need to edit the API and record escrows locally.

Components

This will affect the in chat screen for private chat.

    Swapsteem is a peer to peer chat server for steemians based on rocket.chat open source application.

    How will you integrate security from Rocket.chat to swapsteem if there are security fixes after the fork ? Just curious.

    We can always sync the enhancements from the upstream even after the fork, unless it affects our custom code. We might need some additional work to be able to be up to date with security, but it's worth the effort.
    However transactions are done via steemconnect so we can say that the system is secure enough to be trusted.

    We need a feature to block comments by these shitty users.

      Hi, @swapsteem, thanks for the task request. Unfortunately as it says in our guidelines:

      • Contributions to forks that do not have any difference / improvement over the original project will not eligible for potential reward.

      Seeing as you haven't made any commits (and are actually 18 commits behind RocketChat:develop), I would recommend you make some changes to the project before making a task request.
