People of The Minnow Support Project
There's this beautiful little bay in the ocean of steemit, located off the coast of discord, called The Minnow Support Project. There are over 9,000 members in MSP, with almost 1,000 online on a regular basis. There, minnows and whales swim with one another in harmony. Minnow Support offers a ton of services to help minnows grow: contests, radio shows, upvote bots, helpful mods, and channels for networking.
My favorite project that came out of Minnow Support is Make a Minnow (spoiler: I'm a previous winner!). The prize awards a 5,000 sp delegation, occasionally more, to "... a minnow who supports fellow content creators in a community under the PAL/MSP umbrella". Essentially, anyone who delegates any amount of SP to any of the MSP bots is eligible for the prize, and to nominate someone else for the prize. As a minnow myself, I found that the prize helped me grow my own wallet, and I had the opportunity to support other minnows within my communities of choice (poetry, creative writing, MSP, Unity Guild, Isle of Write, and The Writers Block) with a higher upvote. I doubled my followers and my wallet in just a month while I had the delegation during the month of December. Ultimately, it's a huge opportunity for the winners.
My goal with this post is to provide a list of people who are eligible to be nominated. Most of them I am familiar with through chatting in MSP, and they also delegate to MSP. It can be hard for some people to participate in Make a Minnow, because they don't know who delegates, and they don't always feel secure in nominating someone else. Hopefully this post helps give some visibility to people who are working hard in the community to support others!

@danielsaori is another of those flies under the radar guys. He has been around since march of last year, and began his steemit career quietly investing in crypto and writing about travel and food. he has been active in minnowsupport since the very beginning, and seven months ago began the steemit comment challenge, which rewards minnows for the best written comment in a time period. Currently Daniel has become invaluable to PAL with his work on dorabot behind the scenes. he is an msp medal of honor winner and is also active in utopia.io
Some of you newer people might not know @carlgnash. he doesnt come online much (because he is too darned busy) and if he does its at a weird time. but he is one of those people you want to know. not only is he an exceptionally talented artist, musician and creator, he also is a top notch curator (for both curie and himself), and an incredibly generous loving and kind person. he does this while being a full time dad to two young kids, which has caused him to create ingenious ways to work his magic between changing diapers and filming wildlife. check out his page at carlgnash

@buckydurddle has become a strong figure in the community and has one of the most popular radio shows. He's always polite and engages other users and even brought a new user to steemit. Great example of a heavily involved minnow in the community that is growing with us.
@macchiata is one of my favorite minnows. She likes to share her experiences learning and growing, not just about steemit and crypto, but also her own philosophical and spiritual journey. She curates content, speaks several languages and is a great resource to our community.

@InquiringTimes-A friend, a greeter, a writer, and above all else a supporter of minnows. When asked the highlight of her day, her response was the following. A new member needing help registering asked for help. I sent him a message with instructions. He responds hours later saying he has read all recommended posts. She loves to help and loves it when her efforts have a positive effect on others. She greets, she assist with the radio admin work, she even finds time to write. Your efforts are the definition of our mission for peace, abundance, and liberty. I think it is time you win!
@uniwhisp - A friend to all, a mentor, an inspiration. Above all else, a supporter of minnows’ emotions. She is a DJ on the MSP waves radio show. She works behind the scenes to ensure scheduling is in order. She is active in the Spanish channel, fiction channel, and poetry channel. She is a leader and example to many. She volunteers to help anyone understand how beautiful emotions are in ways you wouldn't believe. Check out her latest show here on emotion integration. Your intelligence and silent efforts are an inspiration and I think it’s time you won an award worthy of your efforts!
@lenadr- A friend to all, an editor, a writer, and a strong supporter of minnows. You can find her in the fiction workshop. You can find her in the English-spelling-grammar channel, proofreading. She was recently on the Shane and Muxxy show, and you can listen to how awesome she is! You are fearless and give so beyond what you receive and I hope you win an award worthy of your efforts!
@dbzfan4awhile- A friend to all. Married to the amazing @miraimage. A constant supporter of minnows. The definition of fairness, generosity, and a fantastic writer. JJ, it is time you won an award that represents your character!

@chivesz is one of our newer members but from the moment he joined he dove right in and became an excellent greeter, and has been very helpful to our new users. He also has a wicked sense of humor and a great positive attitude.
@soundwavesphoton has been a member of PAL from almost the beginning, he is always positive and encouraging of other users and is the originator of "lovewaves", he has been generous in his delegations to the community and on top of all that is a great artist and musician
@uniwhisp has been a longtime positive force in PAL, her show Emotion Integration is a wonderful addition to mspwaves radio. Her kindness and empathy has greatly affected us all in positive ways
@yusaymon Obviously yusaymon is a fantastic artist and musician and has been a longtime member of PAL. He's a ray of sunshine and has spurred numerous artistic collaborations including the famous Pizza Ouroborus!
@amberyooper is one of our superstar audience members of msp-waves who is there for practically every show. Amber has also made some custom songs for the PAL community that were amazing!

@creativesoul has been a member of the MSP Palnet Discord community since the very beginning! She is a kind and compassionate individual who created our "quiet room" for members who wanted a more relaxed space to chat. Her desire and efforts to help the creative community have been shown through her work with creativebot and now as one of the Minnow Support Community Curation Team members.
@soundwavesphoton is another member who has been with the MSP Palnet community since the very beginning! He is an extremely talented musician who brings joy and kindness to our chats with his infinite lovewaves and good vibes!

Wow thank you @sunravelme, a wonderful post. Thanks for the love and thank you @juliakponsford and @isaria for the kind words :)
Infinite Lovewaves for all of you.
Whoa that gif <3
Hears a subtle and not-quite-silent join me drifting through the air as I stare at the photonic blitz of rainbow brilliance shining over me.
What a thoughtful post. Thank you for mentioning me! And thanks to @kubbyelizabeth and @juliakponsford for the kind words. I feel honored to be included among such great folks here. Also, I now know that @inquiringtimes is a she! Haha.
Lol, not really, but lotsa people seem to think that  I don't care. It's not about gender, it's about what we do
It had me questioning what I thought I knew; but you are correct, it's definitely about what we do (and who we are on the inside).
haha, love it.
LOL I just learned this too and I created the post! Always nice to learn new things about people :)
Thanks for the attention @sunravelme :) It is an honour to have my name mentioned here. I also really appreciate @clayboyn's kind words. Keep up the great work.
Cheers,
Bucky
Hmmm, I've got an idea now, heh heh heh.
You are a very deserving member of our community. Good job and well-played (pun totally intended and squished in where it might not have been appreciated).
Great stuff! How can I have access to this minnow support discord Chanel?
Download discord and join here: https://discord.gg/Hvtguy7
I found this on discord. The truth and conspiracy section is always full of great stories. It’s so fun meeting people there.
I think you will download the Discord app...
Ask and you shall be heard. Reference Julia's response.
Just joined MSP earlier today. Can't wait until I have the SP to delegate so I can become eligible for this. So much opportunity in the Steemit community for artists to thrive and get paid for what they do :) Thanks for putting in all the work to make this happen!
Absolutely! Until you have the SP to participate, feel free to network and enjoy the other benefits that MSP offers- there are a ton of them, along with some awesome people!
That's the best way to increase that SP if you ask me. You down with MSP?? Yeah, you know me!!
So many nice people, great post and thanks for the mention!
I guess the hardest thing is to chose who to nominate, they are all great alternatives in their own ways, great contributors to the community.
Exactly! Picking people to nominate is always difficult, but I say go with your heart!
I say "Go with Nacho... but leave the Cheese Curds for me!" or I might start saying it.
That is so very true. The difficulty lies in choosing between so many that deserve it.
what a lovely post. I think this is a great way to highlight some of the members in the community and make it easier for nominators in the next round of the MAM contest :)
That's the hope, for sure! We are going to get lots of people involved this time around, and I think making it easier to chose and participate will be a big part of it.
I hope so. I always kind of flounder (fish pun intended) when I try to decide who is even eligible; and to think I'm one of the founders, lol. Things move very fast when you're inundated with real-world problems that take you away from MSP.
the minnow support project really is a fascinating one and a good project i must say. this Got me lol
the pun here is divine
Thank you! I do love how the minnow and whale language we use around here yields up some great oceaniic puns :)
☺ ☺ yea when i first join, i was confused why dey use the ocean habitata to qualify individuals, wht not steem, 😁 😁 very interesting lang.....
I think it has something to do with investing terms, but I'm not sure lol
I believe so. I know I've heard in sales-terms that whales are the biggest accounts you can land; however, just in terms of normal life we tend to consider ourselves a fairly fishy bunch. As an example, "there are more fish in the sea" when someone breaks up with someone else, or "I was a big fish in a little pond, now I'm a little fish in a big pond" and many others. I think the oceanic parallel is quite appropriate to Humans in general. Besides, what happens when water gets all heated up, it turns to STEEM!!! Boo-Yah!!
