I know, I know, I already posted today. After a long time, I finally pulled myself together to publish another post.

Imagine my surprise when I got a notification for this comment:

So I almost missed my 2 year Steem birthday. Classic.

I usually avoid posting twice a day, especially when it's this close together but hey, the next opportunity is next year so fuck that!

My last few posts are a lot about what I'm doing on Steem, what I plan on doing in the future, how my life is going, and so on, so finding something to celebrate my Steem birthday is not as easy as it was last year.

I didn't think that I'd stick around this long, not at the beginning at least. But here I am, still going strong. Not posting 1 post/day anymore, not even 1/week, but hey, I'm still active, I still moderate steem.chat, and I am still part of a group of people improving the Steem blockchain ecosystem (BuildTeam, in this case).

I'm still hodling most of my Steem, and as long as the chain doesn't crash and burn, I'm here to stay, with various topics, stories, and contests.

I'm a bit sad that so many people that started with me vanished or stopped posting, but with the dropping price and lack of interaction, it's not really surprising.

Even I don't get huge payouts anymore if I'm not gifted bot votes. I still refuse to buy them myself, I still don't self-vote.

But I do miss the interaction that being on trending brought with it.

I'm rambling, I'm rambling.

Don't have much to say, mostly wanted to point out that hell yea I made it another year without giving up, another year without getting depressed by price drops, spammers, trolls, abusers, and generally idiots that try to ruin the experience for everyone.

I love watching happy projects like @googlyeyes that aim to provide people with fun and a reason to post.

Because that's what Steem is for me: People being happy interacting with each other.

And I won't let go of that.

Sadly, I won't be able to be at SF4, but maybe next year?

wooop wooop wooop... happy birthday!

a box of kittens is definitely better than any old cake!

thanks for being one of those who still hodls and sticks around!

Who needs cake when you got kittens to cuddle!

And I'm happy you're also sticking around and help to keep things positive :)

FYI - Grey misses you.

Well how could he not, I gave him like five times the attention he usually gets!

I cannot believe I am steem-older than you. Seems like the platform was built around you!

If it was, things would be a lot better different :P

Yeah, I didn't say they were built well. You, on the other hand, are a treasure to any platform. Steem is lucky to have you.

<3

Happy Steem birthday to you! If you have not started playing Splinterlands AKA Steem Monsters I’d love to give you a free starter set promo code! It’s truly a great game right here on the Steem Blockchain. 👍👍

Thank you 💚

Congats for your Steem-birthday @suesa!

I'm a bit sad that so many people that started with me vanished or stopped posting, but with the dropping price and lack of interaction, it's not really surprising.

Those who didn't have enough ties to the community and were after the quick buck, naturally left. Low price is unfortunate, perhaps, but it has the benefit of showing who is here and for why.

The time of quick money has ended and now it's time to play the long game. I'm glad you're here and still planning on staying :)

How great then, that I joined to spam you all with my stories, and not for the money!

Maybe you're right, maybe those that left were after all just interested in financial gain. It's a nice plus, I'm not going to lie, but if it's the main reason someone is on steem, they're bound to be disappointed eventually.

Like the saying goes, come for the rewards, stay for the community. Some just didn't find their own corner in the community to consider it worthwhile with decreased rewards.

Of course the rewards are nice, I'm also hoping for the Steem price to eventually rice, but I'm not expecting it to happen overnight. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the community aspect of Steem :)

Well happy birthday, I know I have not been around commenting reading or interacting on some of your post as of late, no real excuse, just limited resources, changing interest, and time constraints. I still love it when I do have time to read one of your stories whether a multi part one or just a short one, I always enjoyed them and how you would put the education links at the end. Will try to stop by more once again, but no promises, and thank you for the support you give to the fun-side of things like Googlyeyes.

I've become lazy with the educational links, as it's easier to write a story without xD Glad you still like reading them without tho.

I always like seeing you around <3

Hello beautiful human, glad you're still here with us despite all your other off-chain adventures <3 I'm not going anywhere either, so yeah, let's keep on doing virtual hugs until we can share some real ones again YOLO! <3

happy belated birthday wishes. Owl wish you many owls @regularowl say hi

Happy steemiversary @suessa! :-)

There's one "s" too many, although it's exactly how @jedigeiss always pronounces my name

Ahhh... shame on me! Sorry @suesa :-)

Happy Steem birthday @suesa!

Yup, the second post was a surprise, lol, I just finished reading the new episode of Simulations!

I'm glad you're sticking around, Steem would be much less interesting without you!

Hope you liked the new chapter 😁 I always plan on not waiting so long before posting another one and then.... Another month passed. Time flies.

Yes I did, especially the unexpected ending. :)
