SEC-S17/W5 | My favorite gadgets: Laser is the best friend of DIY lovers

Today I wanted to invite you to this challenge by Steem For Bangladesh Community:

We have a lot of DIY work around house and what we noticed that having this 200 year old house there are many corners of ceiling, floor, doors that may not really be rectangular but that old masters simply adjust them at the end everything was adjusted accordingly.
In the beginning we used "water spirit level" but then seeing that we need it more and more often and the rooms are huge in compare to ordinary rooms and also ceilings are tall so it is not possible to draw the lines on the whole wall, especially if one would like to wallpaper the walls.
My hubby after searching a bit especially in one of the oldest and famous company for its instruments and machines we have found that self levelling cross line based on Laser technology.
You all know that Laser is slowly used in many different area, we use in medicine a lot and I know that this is very precise and easy to handle. That is why we immediately decided to buy it.
It is important to place it on straight surface the best is at 90 degree and the laser should be pointed to the wall where you wanted to use the measurement. Then simply click the button and you even can leave it without pressing and it will show you that red cross that will guide the person who is doing the work.
It is one of the important instrument and helper in our restoration work.

The next gadget is also a product of BOSCH company and also based on Laser technology. Another thing that we often need to do is to find what is the distance from one side of room to another and we need it, for example, in order to find how long our wood planks should be for flooring. Often the measuring tape is not long but also it is flexible and we need to be precise in order to cut them to exact size.
Also we use the Laser measurement when we need to find how long our curtains should be and again it is quite quick and easy.
How to use it? Simply it should be placed again on flat surface and pressing the button it should point to opposite side and like you see here, from equipment to wall it is 0,305m. The equipment measuring up to 15 meters.

This is another gadget that we are often using during our renovation work at home. Often we need to check the temperature of heating, radiator, in the case if we need to check if our heating is working fine or not. This equipment does not need to have contact with the object but only the infrared light needs to be pointed to it and we know how cold or how warm the object it.
Here is the example of the temperature of a wall.
To tell the truth, I believe the same technology was used for measuring the temperature at Airport during COVID time, because one does not need to come very close to person.

Laser is a very good gadget to have and it makes work easy and accurate especially when you have rodo some drawings on the wall you get it perfectly well.
Infrared thermometer is a very important gadget to have at home, I have it too I use it more often in checking temperature, we use it in hospital too for checking id patient temperature.

Lasers are great, I use them often, I also have a laser engraver now.
I mount my laser level on my camera tripod when I need it.
Yes, it is very handy and laser engraver sound great, the cutting lines might be precise and clean. I can imagine for the cross liner my hubby is also using the tripod.
Oh, the laser level is a very cool thing! He helped me to do the interior decoration of the house. But it's a pity that I didn't have it at the initial stage of building the house. Similar gadgets appeared in our hardware shops later than I started building my house.
Yes, agree it makes the work easier, having once such equipment you can use it for many years so its profitable :)

Laser is a good gadgets but specifically for a purpose which is getting the right and straight line in a building. I have seen this laser severally in movies but didn't know what they are used for. I am glad I could learn from you tonight. The second laser product is used as a measuring tape, so instead of using a tape, you go for that. I can see that these gadgets are for the builders alone. I believe the people who work on construction sites nowadays have a lot of such helpful tools and laser definitely one of the best helpers. I am glad that you found it interesting to read the advantages of these gadgets :)
