Steem's Anthem? -- Three Days Grace -- I Hate Everything About You [Why Do I Love You?]

in #music5 years ago (edited)

Dear Steem & Steemit: We may have our differences, but we all love you.

This song's lyrics are quite ironic.

I'm also not awkwardly waving in the snap. I was spinning my stick and thought it looked funny when my camera couldn't capture the movement. I then tried to play with the Steem logo as a flame.

I've been meaning to cover this song for a while, and my Video-to-MP3 software finally allowed me to download the drumless version via its new patch.

Drum Rehab: After getting drilled by a 95-100 mph line drive in my left shoulder blade at batting practice yesterday (from ~25 feet away), I thought playing the drums would be good physical therapy. My shoulder socket and muscles/ligaments hurt from absorbing the violent shock, but I think I'll be ok. I can handle pain, but it was pretty bad yesterday. I may not be able to play baseball this weekend, which would be the first innings I won't been in the lineup in several years. Baseball is a priority and I'm committed, just like with Steem. I guess this is my punishment for practicing during the week when others snooze.

This track was natural and fun to play since I used to play it ages ago. It only took me about 45 minutes to absorb what I needed to play and get this full take down. It's not perfect, but neither is Steem, and I need to ship packages for my business now.

Hope you enjoyed.

Cool!

That double kick/bounce you've got going on with the bass is catchy.

Has your local gym got a far infra red sauna? they're awesome for soft tissue injuries, even a normal sauna is good. For soft tissue injuries a good massage to break up any stasis helps a lot too. You don't really need a deep tissue massage but borderline painful is good.

Arnica or comfrey ointment is great for bruising too, or if you have a local China town some Chinese herbalists make some awesome liniments, they call it Dit da Jao (don't pronounce the T) or hit fall wine. Many Win Chun schools make their own & sometimes they'll sell it too. It's smells a bit but it works better than anything else I've ever tried.

I had a massage along those lines earlier this year and know exactly what you mean about painful, but good. She broke up a lot of scar tissue and it didn't feel too hot. I actually had Arnica my Mom gave me along time ago that was still valid, so I took 2 doses of that and it seemed to help (or I'm generally improving along with it). I'm not familiar with the other stuff. I played baseball today at 85% and feel that the initial shock of my shoulder will heal within a week at this rate (or at least that's what I'm sensing). Appreciate the unique tips. I hate taking any medicine (usually 1 or 2 doses of Tylenol/Advil a year tops), so natural stuff is highly preferred.

Also, my gym has a sauna, but I don't know anything about it. If my shoulder needs a boost, I'll try that.

I had a good laugh over the camera not picking up the drumstick, that was great.

You did a fantastic job with this one bro, really hit the kicks on point. I thoroughly enjoyed it my man, keep them coming!

Thanks for listening. It's a very unique song because of that triple kick fill. I've always liked that feel. Since you like harder stuff, scroll back a few days for a cover of Bulls On Parade -- my favorite song.

Why do you love Steem/Steemit?

Because for some magical reason it gets people like you to show themselves.

Thanks for being a part of that small audience to make it worthwhile.

I'm a bot. I detect haiku.

I will ignore the question and say instead, fantastic job again. I really enjoy these!

Thanks a lot. You might be one of the 5 people in the world who will ever listen to this. Check this rocker from a few days ago... https://steemit.com/music/@steemmatt/u2vpyfnurob

Hehe, yeah, that's how I feel about my posts too! Will give it a whirl!
