Flowers from the Red Book

The plant world is full of strange and unique plants. That is why many of them are listed in the Red Book. This is a list compiled by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Most of the plants on this list are endangered.

The list of rare plants is growing every year. Some of them are listed below.

A peony with long narrow leaves. This flower stands out among other species in the garden. This plant is characterized by leaves that are divided into needle-like lobes. Flowering occurs in May and lasts up to nine days. However, the plant remains green and fresh until the end of the summer season.

Belladonna Belladonna is another name for the plant. Belladonna is a medicinal and forest plant listed in the Red Book. It can be found as a weed on the edge of the forest. Blue berries grow on it about 1 cm in diameter. The berries are poisonous and therefore inedible. The poison acts quickly and can be irreversible, especially for children.

Pine tree. In addition to flowers and plants, trees such as pines are also listed in the Red Book. Several varieties are protected in the country. These are Pitsund pine, thick pine, chalk pine and old pine.

Violet. A flower, a rather rare plant that grows in the northern part of the country. The seeds of this flower are a means of reproduction. Seeds do not always appear, so the plant may die. Violet came from ancient Greek mythology and is a symbol of the fall and resurrection of nature.

Dolomite bell-shaped flower. This is a beautiful plant with white flowers. It withers because it is often plucked. In areas where this flower is abundant, its numbers are declining due to asphalting and the gradual destruction of roads.

The tin orchid. One of the most beautiful and mysterious plants listed in the Red Book. It is thoughtlessly plucked from entire mountains, leaving not a single bulb in the ground. Environmentalists are alarmed. These wonderful flowers can disappear at any moment. Our grandchildren will not have the opportunity to enjoy their fragrance and beautiful appearance. This plant prefers shade. It is found in abundance in the Caucasian forests. This rare plant has medicinal properties, but it is quite poisonous. It is used to treat the circulatory and nervous systems.

Ginseng. A wonderful medicinal miracle. It is considered a panacea. Its root is especially valuable. Up to 16 cm in length, the root usually has an amazing shape. It is believed that ginseng is a plant that preserves youth. Its use contributes to the maintenance of strength and vitality.
