Where I see Steem potential over Facebook
After spending good 2 days on Facebook, I could easily find out some basic points, which made me think that Steem(it) as a social platform have much higher scope than the billion baby love Facebook.
I know it's too early to get on the result, however I see there are many limitation on Facebook as compaired to Steem. When I re- join Facebook, I was expecting same thing as of Steem but soon I realize that I am living within a closed group of people
Limited Audience
Facebook being a popular platform for many years has many limitation. Even though there are Billions of people using the platform daily, however they are interesting their stuff to a very limited people i.e the friends circle that they have in their contact list. If an user share something it will only get noticed by few handful bunch of people who are in the friends list.
This is where Steem has a stronger and bigger hand. On Steem whenever an user share any stuff it flashes among the entire community. There is no restriction and anyone can come and see your stuff. Steem being so open help the user to build and expand their follower and friends circle through their stuff.
Limited Timing
On Steem an user can post anytime of the day 24*7. As the post / stuff are not meant for a specific set of people, it can easily be access by entire community around the world having different time zone.
However on Facebook, one can share the stuff as per the timezone they are in. As it happened , yesterday I made a post in early 4AM, only to get unnoticed as most of my Indian friends were sleeping and till the time they woke up the post get bit stale. Users only watch the latest stuff appearing on their feed rather than scrolling to the bottom.
Original Content
In two days that I had on Facebook I notices, my friend list only sharing stuff that they came along on Whats App or any video that are available over the internet. Kind of sharing same regular stuff day and again. There is no check and the feed page keep flooding with so many unwanted and regular video that came along through different means.
While on Steemit, we have seen community and many individual who puts a check upon the content and get them downvoted on finding its duplicity. Here only Original content matters, even if you try to share any viral videos , you will get good backlashes by the entire community. Bring stuff that keep the audience hooked for your content.
Limited Bandwidth
Facebook users are hesitant to go out to make friends with other user. They have restricted themselves to only , family group, school group,college group,office group, they can't go beyond Tye set horizon.
On Steem , an user can easily get along with any member. Here the choices and interest matters. A person can get along easily with any other member having common choices and interest. There is no restriction and user happily making their existence count by multiplying their friends list every day.
Loosing Interest.
Facebook users started to loose interest of being active. Those who were always active by posting picture and photos have gone and hardly we see any feed. There is nothing more than likes that you will get over the stuff. And some common appreciation stuffs in the comment section.
On Steem, your content is backed up with certain value. The expectation of getting some rewards may pull users to post more which further helps in strengthening their interest. Every penny counts and if users have the patience then slowly and steadily they amass good wealth.
BCP - Business Continuity Plan
Steem as a open source , helps many techy geeks to showcase their talent. The codes are openly available at GitHub, inviting geeks to make interesting stuff through the blockchain technology. So many DApps are the result of it. If one fail, user can get to other. Soany option to choose upon your favourite Dapp to access the social platform
On Facebook, we have only single window login screen, through which we only access the platform. There is no other back up option neither there is anything for geeks to make their talent count.
These are few , things that I observe on getting into Facebook. Or you may say my liking for Steem all the time led me to differentiate the two platform on these criteria. Might be I am late now to differentiate , but currently it is the best time to make people where Steem has upper hands over Facebook
Rewards are flowing on Steem after the last hardfork and making people know the benefits may ask other user to get onto Steem wagon and get some handsome rewards.
Someone loss is ,Someone gain if people loosing Facebook charm, make them know of Steem beauty.

I like this. It's a truthful analysis. Steemit is a tower over facebook in terms of advantage.

When I didn’t use esteem(it) I also thought that Facebook is a great platform! But When I start steem(it) then I see it is better than Facebook! It’s like a family!

Great analysis. We want billions of users to understand steem blockchain in the future. However, it is highly unlikely as people are too lazy to learn new things.

I think your bloody wrong, the consumer experience on STEEM is very weak and it shows.
A real problem on Steem is, that most new and real accounts go inactive right away again. How do you explain that?
And you can Re-Post Stuff via @dlike or with re right Tags. It is impossible to build a social network with just original content.. that is complete nonsense. There are over 7Billion ppl on this earth, very likely nothing we do is original. You do use your toothbrush EVERY DAY, think that makes it less useful?
Brainless Spam-Re-Posts might be good to get downvotes, but I'm not even sure about that, because that kind of content still appeals a lot to casual consumption needs. It creates traffic and therefore it is useful after all.
To make it short, if the same cat picture makes people happy every day again and they upvote it EVERY DAY - why would you stop posting it? To create something new and original that none cares about? Not good.
.....and guess what, 90% of this posts revenue is ocd and ocdb, so you really could have posted anything and still get the same reward.

There is something I wanna show you after all. If you really care about STEEM, maybe it's time to stop ignoring the weaknesses and talk more open-minded about it. Especially while comparing it to the other big players in the world.

This one time yes, and I see you don't really mean what you write. I made the effort to come up with a real discussion and did write you serious questions, but you can't answer them.
Next time I know better and just won't waste my time reading your stuff - as I'd recommend to anyone else.
Having discussion with known account make sense, not like who comes firing without any understanding about the platform. How one present for discussion make sense, as first impression does matter.
The example is straight way out here where you just start accusing of delegation and buying votes which was not true. As far as Steem is concerned nothing gonna blossom until you make effort. Facebook doesn't grow overnight , what effort you made, till now for Steem apart for expecting reward or trolling over to other post by posting multiple comments....it's like posting different comments can get you some profits....which is not the case. Which actually shows that you still it much aware of the platform.....
Get the basic clear and then there is no harm in making discussion on any topic......
