When I was introducing those bots yesterday in Have You Tried Leasing and Delegating SP, Buying and Selling Upvotes? I made an assumption: What if the trending pages become a competition for paid upvotes?

Dobardim calls himself Dr. Great Success

And today we have the answer: The top 2 posts are all about @dobartim's followers' "success story". One post is to thank him for introducing steemit and changed his life, while the other post is more specific, said @dobartim helped her by investing her funds in crypto and now she bought a new car and got freedom and early retirement. It sounds a scam for me.

The good news is, people notice there are a lot of traffic going on in Steemit and there are business opportunities to promote their posts as a marketing strategy. But the bad news is will the trending pages soon become all of advertisements, and those illegal ones, scams have higher profits so they can afford higher bidding for bots and top spots on trending?

Of course users have the rights to flag them, and it is the rules that the only way to stop is to flag and hide those posts, but whales with power cannot afford the loss by flagging.They probably make a post criticize such scams with no further actions. The whole paid upvotes competition thing will not come to an end until rules get changed.

昨天介绍出租SP和买赞盛行的时候，我看热闹不嫌事多地假设首页变成买赞大赛，steemit将会成为怎么样的景象。今天steemit就满足了我的好奇心——首页前两条都是介绍一个所谓的成功导师@dobartim给他们的生活带来了巨大改变。第一个帖子说@dobartim介绍他加入了steemit以后改变了他的生活，只因为参加了一个他举办的steemit学校。第二个帖子说得比较详细，说她之前生活很困难，偶然机会认识@dobartim以后就因为让他帮着投资虚拟币发了财，还通过他得知了steemit。随后不仅还了债买了车，还实现了自由可以提前退休。

看起来有点似曾相似对不对？多年以来在新闻和朋友圈受到的各种“传销”“微商”“成功学”的熏陶，我对这种故事已经免疫了。但背后的这个@dobartim为什么要让他的两个门徒通过买赞上热门，尤其是现今买赞基本亏本的情况下，来推销他所谓的成功学和steemit学校呢？好消息是，这说明steemit在迈入AlexaTOP1000的门槛后，商人们开始认识到Steemit也是有流量的，这个流量可以榨取到价值，所以值得他花钱打广告上头条。坏消息是，Steemit流量越来越大，首页成为广告商们竞拍买赞的必争之地以后，价格水涨船高，到最后只会剩下非法暴利的行业能支撑，类似百度竞价关键词成为莆田系天下的结局。在去中心化、缺乏管制的社区里，这些灰色广告简直是活在没有天敌的大森林。

在这些帖子的回复中，不乏高级别的大V公开抵制买赞机器人，认为让这种帖子上首页损害了Steemit的形象。但是他们大部分并不会去flag这些帖子，因为flag帖子会减少他们自己的收益，却不影响买赞机器人得到应得的收入，相反因为他们放弃了这部分收益机器人能分到的蛋糕就更多，对这些手握SP的大鲸们不合算。他们碰到看不爽的情形只会发个贴呼吁一下，并不会有太多实质性的动作。在改变规则之前，看来这场买赞大赛还不会结束。
