Road Trip in Europe Part IV : Plitvice National Park
Hi dear Steemians today I will take you to visit the Plitvice National Park in Croatia.
Plitvice National Park Is located halfway between the cities of Zagreb and Zadar within a karstic plateau. It is both the oldest national parks in southern Europe and the most extensive in Croatia. It was created on April 8, 1949 and added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

El Parque Nacional de Plitvice se encuentra a medio camino entre las ciudades de Zagreb y Zadar en una meseta kárstica. Se trata de los parques nacionales más antiguos del sur de Europa y los más antiguos de Croacia. Fue creado el 8 de abril de 1949 y agregado a la lista del patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO en 1979.
The park covers an area of 296 square kilometers and includes not only the Plitvice lakes (Plitvička jezera), which form a group of 16 large lakes, connected by 92 waterfalls or small tormented rivers, but also the surrounding forest (Primitive forest composed mainly of beeches and pines) where the Korana River is born and which is home to many rare animal and plant species whose best known representatives are the brown bear and the wolf. The flora and fauna are prosperous as evidenced by the fish richness of the lakes.
El parque cubre un área de 296 kilómetros cuadrados e incluye no sólo los lagos de Plitvice (Plitvička jezera), que forman un grupo de 16 grandes lagos, conectados por 92 cascadas o pequeños ríos atormentados, sino también el bosque circundante (Bosque primitivo compuesto principalmente de hayas y pinos) donde nace el río Korana y que alberga muchas especies raras de animales y plantas cuyos representantes más conocidos son el oso pardo y el lobo. La flora y la fauna son prósperas como lo demuestra la riqueza de peces de los lagos.
Unfortunately, as you can see the day was not very sunny.
Por desgracia, como se puede ver el día no era muy soleado.
A wooden log walk makes a tour of the park, but it is also possible to visit it using a panoramic train and cross the biggest lakes by boat. Apart from the path and the few facilities for tourists, nature is left in the wild, no human intervention is allowed.
Un paseo de madera de registro hace un recorrido por el parque, pero también es posible visitarlo con un tren panorámico y cruzar los lagos más grandes en barco. Aparte del camino y de las pocas instalaciones para los turistas, la naturaleza se deja en el salvaje, ninguna intervención humana es permitida.
The less attractive side of the park because yes there is one! You should know that the park entrance costs 25 euros and there is a huge queue to park your car and to buy tickets to enter in the park. It is however true that the park is very clean and the road well maintained but it counts about 1 million visitors per year, personally not having a big budget I find the price a little excessive.
Now it is however very easy to go into the park for free and the controls inside are almost nonexistent. I obviously recommend paying the entrance for people with the budget to continue to maintain the park but I find it unfortunate that people with little money can not access it...
El lado menos atractivo del parque porque sí hay uno! Usted debe saber que la entrada del parque cuesta 25 euros y que hay una enorme cola para aparcar su coche y comprar entradas para entrar en el parque. Sin embargo, es cierto que el parque está muy limpio y la carretera bien mantenida, pero cuenta alrededor de 1 millón de visitantes al año, personalmente no tener un gran presupuesto me parece el precio un poco excesivo.
Ahora es sin embargo muy fácil entrar en el parque para libre y los controles adentro son casi inexistentes. Obviamente, recomiendo pagar la entrada para las personas con el presupuesto para mantener el parque, pero me parece desafortunado que la gente con poco dinero no puede disfrutar...

This park is very beautiful and I agree with you, the entrance ticket is costly expecially for people like me who are on a budget but one can definitely plan ahead and be prepared for buying the ticket, thanks for the infrmation and amazing pictures!
