Zander fishing in late autumn on VIBs

A couple of months ago, I talked about using a VIB class wobbler when fishing for zander from ice. Today we will talk about catching a predator on these baits in the late autumn from a boat.
Let me remind you that the bait class VIbration (VIB-s) - are flapless wobblers with negative buoyancy (sinking). Due to this particular feature, these baits are used both for catching "in casting" and for vertical jigging (both in winter and during open water). With these baits, various types of animation are possible when in casting, from ordinary uniform to stepwise, with bottom control, like when fishing on jig baits. It is this kind of animation that is used when catching predatory fish "in casting".

Another "chip" bait class VIB is the presence or absence of a noise chamber in the design of a wobbler. Accordingly, the lure, equipped with a noise chamber, during the animation, in addition to active vibrations, creates noise accompaniment due to the knocking of metal balls. Lures without a noise chamber attract fish only due to natural oscillations. It is noticed that the active predator responds better to the "noisy" VIB-s, but the passive prefers the "quiet" lures. This nuance should be considered when choosing a model of a wobbler while fishing ...
The indisputable advantage of VIB when fishing is the high casting distance, which is provided by the compactness of the bait and its relatively high own weight. When casting, these wobblers are a little inferior in range to ordinary jig baits. This allows you to use VIB-s, as search bait when catching large areas of the reservoir when searching for active fish. All these properties of VIBs make them one of the best baits for hunting predatory fish, and especially zander, in late autumn ...
The best position for fishing from a boat on the VIBs is when the boat is anchored upstream with respect to the structure or predatory fish of interest that we noticed in the echo sounder. Such a staging of the boat allows you to carry out the bait with good pause-freezes, during which the wobbler continues to vibrate, attracting and irritating the predator. When running across the stream, the efficiency of VIBs is reduced due to failures in the game of bait, but the probability of hooking up to snags and possible loss of a wobbler is much higher.

I suggest you watch the video from the Stalingrad Fishers team, which shows the practical use of Vibration class baits in late-autumn pike perch fishing on the Volgograd reservoir. Alexander Demin during this fishing tells about the features of using VIB-s when fishing from a boat.

If you decide to replenish your arsenal with such baits, then first you should pay attention to relative models of the budget from Pontoon21, Mottomo, TsuYoki, etc. Chinese production. Japanese wobbler VIB will cost 3-4 times more expensive ...
