in Newcomers' Community6 years ago

Hello Steemians, I hope everyone is well and safe by the grace of God.
Today I will share my Achievement 2 task with you. I am a new user on this platform. So I will try to present to you as much as I know about the basic security of Steem.

So let's get started.

I've created a short Q&A session to show you how to save Steem's initial safety keys.

Question: 1

Have you recovered all the keys to your Steemit account?

A. Yes, after signing up I have restored all my keys and I have stored them in my personal notebook.

Question: 2

Do you know what the total amount of Steem keys is and what it is?

A. Yes, I know that.
Steem has a total of four keys. E.g.

  1. Posting key
  2. Active key
  3. Owner key
  4. Memo key

Question: 3

Do you know the key functions and prohibitions of these keys?

A. Yes, I know that.
The following is their explanation:

Posting key
This key is usually used for posting, commenting and replying to comments. No money-related transactions can be completed with the posting key. He needs another key.

Active key
In addition to the functionality of the posting key, the active key is used for token transfers and exchange-related, money-related transactions. In a word, the active key is important in case of transaction.

The owner key
The owner key is the only key that can change all other keys. The most important of the four keys to the Steemit is the owner key. So we should all keep this owner key in a safe and secure place.

Memo key
Memo keys are commonly used to encrypt and decrypt messages. We recommend using the "minimum permission" key for what we want to do on Steem. This means that if we verify or respond to a message, we may need this memo key.

Question: 4

Do you know what it would be like to have these four keys with someone else?

A. Yes, these four keys are very important for the Steemit account. And if someone else knows these keys, he can easily login to my account.

Question: 5

How do you plan to keep your master password?

A. The master password is very important in Steem related work. And this is what I plan to store in a secure off-line accessible.

Question: 6

Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another Steem user?

A. Yes, of course.
To do this we need an active key or owner key. I can do this by clicking on the dropdown next to my Steem balance and selecting Transfer. After doing this, you must fill in the required details.

This was my idea about the basic security of steem.
Hope everybody understands. Please let me know if anything goes wrong.
Since I am new to this platform, I will apologize if I make a mistake.

Thanks everyone.
