Minecon is one of those events that isn't quite like any other convention. At any other convention, you might have some stalls and some demo's, but not here.

At minecon, you have awkward developers answering questions to awkward gamers and trolls, all streamed live so there are no bloopers! If you like cringe comedy (if you can even call it comedy - it's closer to torture), you've come to the right place!

I know the videos are long and not everyone has all the time in the world so I've went through and picked out the best bits.

#1 2015

This takes my top spot - likely because it was set in the UK and honestly, I think Brits are just a superior race compared to the likes of americans and the french. Seriously though, I had to pause a good 50 times and had to go on various smoking breaks just to get myself through this.

• A kid who can see into the future of minecraft youtuber allegations asks the question on everyone's mind, only he's years early
• The host calls the audience weird

I think if I were to describe any of the scenes in this video in too much detail, I'd be doing you all a disservice - nothing quite compares to the real thing.

#2 2013

2013, ah! The awkward moments displayed here are guaranteed to be genuine. This was before all the trolls found out they could make an ass out of themselves in-front of a whole convention and get away with it. The awkward scenes here are genuine and it makes it all the more perfect.

I think the real reason this was so bad was thanks to it being set in Florida.

Legend has it that 2013 was so cringey, the organizers had to call 2014 off so they could properly recover.

Special mentions

2017

This one wasn't even funny - it was just kind of painful. Will Arnett of Bojack Horseman, Arrested Development and various animated movies was the co-host and right from the get go he was dishing out those bad puns, almost mocking the Minecraft community with the sheer quantity of puns, sarcasm and cheese. There were several musicals - one of which was just a song about how cool Will Arnett is (8:26). The other musical scene sounds like something ripped straight out of Mary Poppins on Ice. I'm not sure where this minecon was hosted but I'm guessing... Broadway?
