Cleaning the compound and making the earth a better place

My friends of this noble community, I'm delighted to share with you all my participation in cleaning the compound in the area where I stay today. As it is the directive of the CCS community, to share content related to the cleaning of the earth and how we keep the earth in a better shape, I have decided to share my involvement in keeping the earth clean today.

I live in a compound that has a lot of people present in it and for that reason, I try to join them in performing the various activities to ensure that the entire compound is in very good shape. On this faithful day, my neighbor and her dear daughter decided to clean the compound by sweeping since it has been a rainy day for the past few days.

I was lucky to be outside with them on that faithful day. I offered to help in sweeping the compound but they objected and said they can not be present as women and allowed me as a man to be sweeping. I can do that when they are not present.

Well, I'm not surprised because that is the culture of every African. A man is not supposed to pick the broom and sweep when there are women or little girls around the area. It is disrespectful to the highest order. So I just stood by the side and then asked what then should I do because I needed to report how I contributed to the cleaning of my immediate environment.

They all suggested that I just sit and instead get a picture of them as the perfume function and then report exactly the incident that happened. It was a relief to me though. So I decided to do exactly as they have suggested. I took a few photos of them as they went ahead sweeping and making the entire place clean.

It took a while for them to finish the entire activities in my part I stood there listening and taking pictures. I have plans to do the next compound clean-up in the coming week. We do it once weekly because it's rainy season and the first from the mango tree gets even more.

This is how I was able to contribute to the cleaning and taking care of my environment. I hope those around us will also join to ensure we continue making the Earth a better place by cleaning it at all times. I will stop here today. We meet again next time for more details.
