Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 27/1/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 27/1/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

We have to continue to remember that there's a possibility that Steem might fall back down much lower than it's January high at $0.43 due to Steemit INC powerdowns. As for Bitcoin's part some have said we had another downwave on Jan 26th around ⏰08.00 I wouldn't say that as Bitcoin was only at $3617 for a few moments the most recent Bitcoin downwave was on the 20th still which was not expected from the recovery upbump, but what's interesting about this fall was how Steem was barely affected. Even today we still haven't fully seen the affects of it as Steem remains above $0.30 if you remember the last time we were this low the Steem's price was under the $0.30 mark. Bitcoin's high was at $4075 and it fell to $3491, the 3rd downwave as now recovered into about %40 of the fall range from the 2nd Bitcoin downwave. Steem continues it's fall from yesterday there was a chance for some recovery at ⏰02.50 but it didn't happen instead Steem continued down for just over half of the day making Steem fall to $0.30, yes it'd getting dangerously close to falling under the £0.30 mark again this happened at ⏰14.40 making it a great time to buy, but all expected if the powerdowns continue. Since then as you can see we have had some little recovery because it's definitely been giving some buyers who regret not getting more Steem something to be very happy about especially after seeing how much just 10 cents was making such a difference... or was this change just down to the SBD's going up? Hmm something to think about. If your a buyer there's a tough decision to make, either buy before the price goes up further or take a risk in waiting on possibly one of the biggest opportunities to buy Steem as the Steemit account is powering down, PANIC mode is ON! Let's not.. This whole thing is important because that account holds around 44 million Steem! If the powerdown's don't stop in 13 weeks all that Steem will be tokenized meaning the price of Steem will drop by ALOT. While this means the end of days for some we still don't know how exactly Steem-INC are handling this move but I feel this Steem will probably go into other accounts and therefore keeping Steem steady. I don't believe they are running away with the money, it seems they are protecting it due to some threats. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steemit account continues to power down. You should know that Steem at these low prices and with the Steem power-downs it places us on a survival mode era basically Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit's account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said recently that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. SBD's are where they should be, yes sure they are beginning to fall again but you probably noticed that there is little STEEM to be earned and instead we are receiving more SBD's which mean's things have got better. Today SBD's have been downbumping slowly, we started at $0.94 which I was hoping to not go down any further but ended up below the $0.90 mark today at firstly ⏰08.45 down to $0.89, it later bumped-up one putting us back at the $0.90 mark.
