Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 16/1/2021.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for now over 4 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average daily STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 16/1/2021.

Here we are in the middle of January already and the weather as continued bitter cold but on the bright side I think the days have already very slowly started becoming longer. The cold as caused some water systems to freeze and even a few burst pipes as I remember seeing a busted pipe much further down the neighbourhood that started to flood a nearby underground pathway. I'm also taking a few days off from work to relax after the busier period being over and so this way I have been able to catch up with a great many thing's and enjoying my time not having to deal with the swings of work even if it's during a stricter lockdown. So yes meaning I have to mostly stay at home which doesn't bother me much as with such cold weather around I can't really say I feel much like being outside. But what as made the occasion rather uncomfortable was that I somehow still caught "the almost yearly" stomach 🐞 bug lol which normally comes with the time of the year. I normally catch it from work and so was confused as to how exactly I caught it? What a nuisance to catch such a thing when I was trying to enjoy my time away from work. And so because of this bug I was busy twice 🤮 during the early hours of the morning. I had spent the entire day basically feeling unwell with a slight headache and for the day all I eaten was two biscuits 🍪🍪. But that didn't concern me much as the human can survive a good few hours without food lol but what we do need is water 💦. I had still been drinking water but wont deny having drunk slightly less than usual, but I have no concerns. As with this bug such things are normal I eventually started getting the feeling to eat again and from there started getting back to normal I guess I was just annoyed that I missed out on 2 days because of it but these thing's can't be helped. Anyway I had to use a different wallet so that I could get some Bitcoins unstuck from a website and annoyingly the wallet doesn't support STEEM nor can you make conversions to STEEM so have to move the Bitcoins yet again. They try charging you a fee of over $5😱!! Which I refused to pay and found a option which allowed me to set the price instead but it's said you have to be careful as setting a price too low could potentially mean your Bitcoins getting stuck and so having to buy even more Bitcoins just to try and move the first ones..😒hmm. Still in the end the Bitcoins arrived into the proper wallet 🙌 and turned into STEEM 👍. But while I managed to save my coins I'm unsure if I want to try that process again as it seems to be more costly, plus more things can go wrong with it, but I guess that for the moment I must wait and watch Steem closely for when will be the next best opportunity strike 🥊 and buy a little more.

💚We saw recently STEEM almost reach $0.24 but unfortunately even with these insane 💰$41000 Bitcoin prices STEEM as continued to not move much which is such a shame as people should be investing into this great coin as you can do so much more with it, but oh well until they do I can keep collecting it at a cheaper price for myself. Since the rise back in February 2020 not much as changed over the months, and while yes it did go down to $0.09 last year it still mostly stayed between $0.16, $0.18 and $0.20 in 2020. There was also that mystery spike rise on March 19th last year taking Steem to $0.40💛 which seems to be the only real bounce we have seen, so let's see if any action occurs in 2021. The lowest Steem price this year as been $0.15 and the highest $0.23 which broke this years record on Jan 10th but since then the drop in bitcoin seems to have pushed Steem back to 0.16 it would be nice to see if this year Steem can atleast hold above $0.17 for most of the year. Well at least people can't complain about the price being too volatile as Steem as been mostly steady for nearly a year now. Still this brings opportunity as it's a great price to "power-up" your account cheaply, if you are under 10000 SP you may want to consider getting some, I don't say this as a way to improve your financial situation but rather to enjoy the benefits of having Steem, like speeding up your account's Steem accumulation and also how much Tron you gain, general tasks etc, as after-all a small bump in price with those holding's would bring-in some nice noticeable benefits to those with some skin in the game.

💛 We reached "🐬TRIPLE DOLPHIN🐬" in November which means our collective STEEM POWER is now over 💚15000 SP!! We will of course continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM! My new goal 🌍 is to reach 20.000 SP🏆, hopefully by June 2021. This is still not possible in our current situation but with a few more whale votes in these coming months we might just be able to get there. We are already off to a great start, well a much better one than the previous run-up. I also want to thank everybody who votes in and for their kind support. I have now been on here for over 4 years and have never powered down once, I also continue to invest into STEEM in small quantities, your votes can help with this also, but essentially all of this means that your votes are safe with me and help retain STEEM's value since being a Top 450 Steem-power holder, it may even help make it go higher in future with plans for attracting investors. We totalled 7.841 SP at the end of 2019 and reached 15.000 on November 24th and so if you want to help me on this quest "locking away 20.000 Steem Power" with the intention to support and retain more of it's value then please consider leaving your best vote below.

✺ Speaking of keeping things running the covid19 madness continues with us in lockdown number 3 at level 5. While there suppose to be differences between each level it definitely doesn't change the behaviour of people and so make's each of these levels rather pointless. Lv-3 lockdowns were suppose to be the most strict, well not anymore so just how many more lvls are they going to keep making-up until people listen as that seems to be the plan..? While at first it didn't click as to why the covid cases were soaring so much I did believe it may be part to do with the government allowing for the "Christmas get-togethers" to continue on ahead which seemed to have been confirmed by the news I saw the other night. The mass vaccination process continues on with now a roll out of another vaccine and I believe there is also some medicine used by those with arthritis that as been approved to fight covid. They are vaccinating the elderly first and those who care for them. ✺There will also now be a total of 7️⃣ mass jab centres where they hope to get the elderly coming in 24/7 to be vaccinated. But heck apparently many of the waiting vials are being destroyed because people are not keeping to their scheduled vaccination appointments 🕝 so they then destroy the formulas because I'm assuming it's no longer effective? The most effective vaccine is said to be around %95 effective but many seem to be forgetting that these have not even been properly time tested. They firstly said this so called "cure" infact could possibly only protect those who take it for up to 9 months but now I heard it's only for 5 months "possibly" not only that but they have said even with the vaccine you can still catch covid and still pass it on to others, at the end of the day we simply don't know that much about it yet. They also want to mix up both vaccines together when needed just for the sake of injecting as many people as possible, well that's just crazy and something a child would do when trying to fix something and so I'm glad that scientists have spoken-up this time about the idea of mixing-up vaccines without any proper testing to be concerning. There is also a guy in government who wants people to take the vaccine or get shut out from society by not giving them access to any businesses, meaning you wouldn't be able to go food shopping, school, the cinema or even travel, to which I then don't see how exactly this would be giving the public the choice?🤷‍♂️ But it seems he may have changed his mind about that statement lately which make's me even more suspicious and perhaps rightly so as Mr Bill Gates is said to be working on the technological system for vaccination type passport. I have worked all during this crisis as our company used a loophole within the system to keep us all working despite our government stating that all non-essential work places must shut-down. It was either work or be fired kind of attitude, and regardless of being in a lv5 lockdown my boss continues saying we are to be in for work. The food 🍔🍒 shortage problems I thought seemed to have sorted itself out but once again I'm going into shops and seeing many empty shelves and apparently on the news they are beginning to admit there are shortages and big problems. There also seems to be alot of people getting a "masked gang" burst into their homes normally the victims are elderly👨‍🦯👩‍🦯, the gang then robs and often beats the elderly people nearly to death using all sorts of weapons including a saw, this as been happening in many places up and down the country and somehow unrelated to each other so very concerning.
