Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 15/1/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 15/1/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Last year Steem and SBD's were booming but we leave 2018 with Steem at $0.26 and now we may see Steem fall back DOWN even "MUCH LOWER" from its January high at $0.32. I expected the recent Bitcoin downwave I mentioned it 3 days before it happened later figured the Steem-fall delay was because Steem was going to go down with the Bitcoin fall instead. Bitcoin was at $4075 and fell to $3491, today's lowest was $3555 at ⏰20.40. The wave come and hit us twice taking Steem from $0.32 to $0.25. But if your a buyer one of the biggest an best opportunities to buy Steem might just present its-self in a few weeks time. The massive opportunity which may or may not happen, we know Ned as been powering down and so as the Steemit account, PANIC mode ON! Nope dont panic yet and if your wondering why this is so important its because that account holds around 35 million Steem!! If powerdown's don't stop in 13 weeks all that Steem wont be on hold meaning the price of Steem will drop much further, while this means the end of days for some we still dont know what exactly Steem-INC are doing and I don't believe they are running away with the money but it will bring a HUGE opportunity to buy much cheaper Steem. Today Steem was a little more bumpy then yesterday leading to it going up somewhat and I dont mean the result of today's post but Steem managed to hit $0.27 very early at ⏰00.35 and actually stayed there till ⏰08.30 it also nearly made it to $0.28 so close at ⏰04.30. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steem account continues to power down over the weeks. And so at these low prices and the Steem power downs we are still on a survival mode era of Steemit.com, Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions and a possible threat to the website. The conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs of nodes among other strategies which will take time to implement. Right now there is a focus on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Steemit INC said they are on track with it's cost reductions and with SMT's. If you haven't logged out of Steemit or searched the website without logging-in then you maybe have noticed Steemit.com is selectively rolling out advertisements, and its genius because it's not intrusive to people like myself, as you can log-in you wont see the ads anymore. As you may know SBD's fell from $0.86 down to $0.73 very quickly, we saw there was some recovery but then continued going downwards. As for today just like Steem but putting it to shame SBD's got alot more bumpy and yesterday we saw SBD's at $0.74 but for most of the early hours of today SBD's were going upwards, by ⏰05.35 SBD's reached $0.77 unfortunately from there it fell to $0.73 at ⏰09.55 which was unexpected, SBD's tried to recover even going back to $0.76.
