Two Vintage Eagle Silver Bars
It is said the eagle was used as a national emblem because, at one of the first battles of the Revolution (which occurred early in the morning) the noise of the struggle awoke the sleeping eagles on the heights and they flew from their nests and circled about over the heads of the fighting men, all the while giving vent to their raucous cries. "They are shrieking for Freedom," said the patriots.
Thus the eagle, full of the boundless spirit of freedom, living above the valleys, strong and powerful in his might, has become the national emblem of a country that offers freedom in word and thought and an opportunity for a full and free expansion into the boundless space of the future.

The reverse of US gold coins, the silver dollar, the half dollar and the quarter, depicts an eagle with outspread wings. The Great Seal of the United States depicts the American Bald Eagle as the heraldic emblem and a distinct symbol of the nation and of US authority.
Living as the eagle does on the tops of lofty mountains, amongst the magnificent grandeur of Nature, the eagle has unlimited freedom, sweeping into the valleys below, or upward into the boundless spaces beyond... the eagle represents freedom.

If one is more a stacker than a collector like myself, adding ounces in the form of vintage art bars which can still be acquired at low premiums is a great way to go. There are some still priced the same as newly minted generic bars. The two shown above are vintage art bars: a 38 years old and a 43 years old. I think that the older ones add fun to hunt, and therefore provide more enjoyment to stacking. It is so easy to order generic bars online. Thanks for noticing the mojipop, my friend, @bitcoinman.
Very interesting I thought they would be more expensive I am more of a stacker my self too so I will look into vintage bars :)

What a coincidence. I just posted a Bi-Centennial bar I got on my last LCS run. Great minds think alike. :) That was also a very interesting story behind the Eagle as the National Emblem.

Thanks, bestie! Me too... if I could only have my rounds and bars say "trade units" or trade silver" then it becomes more real to me that it is "money" the way silver and gold coins are real money.
