In A French Restaurant
My favorite French Restaurant is located very close to the Capitol Building. It is a favorite because it is the only one close to home.
Its decor is simple and clean.
The bar is well stocked wtih a great selection of top-shelf wines and liqour.
Beverages are reasonably priced.
The menu is unasumming modest and comprised of popular and familiar dishes.
For a starter or appetizer, I had Deviled Eggs with classic capers, cornichons and crispy procuitto.
Pour Commencer, Oeufs Mimosa
For soup, I had French Onion Soup with Gruyere cheese and croutons
La Soupe a l'Oignon Gratinee
For my entree, I ordered Beef Bourguignon, which is braised beef with root vegetables. I was so very delicious!
Boeuf Bourguignon
And finally for dessert, I had
Creme Brulee
What a delicious dinner! I was stuffed!

Haven't really gone to any of my local French restaurants. Creme brulee I've tried before but I wasn't sure if it's done French style. (BTW, I don't smoke.) Mais oui?

2 years of HS French, tested out of 3 years college French, and I've never even been to a French Restaurant! 😱🙀😱 Perhaps because we do not have one 'close to home' 🤔🤔🤔⁉

The food looked good and tasted so good! For certain NYC has many French restaurants, like San Francisco. I think that one of the things I miss moving away from a cosmopolitan city is the adventure of tasting new flavors and different food specialties that can easily be accessed because of the presence of many restaurants that offer them. thanks for the tip, I am not really a foodie I eat basic most of the time, so I seldom go to restaurants in the city just to the nearby Deli works for me

Well she used to love Food more than me and now has to eat very basic for the most part, so it really isn't a hardship for me to to do the same with her :)
