This is my participation in a contest Getting to know Mvest organized in SteemitCryptoAcademy by @crypto-academy.
Steemit crypto academy has organized a very beautiful topic. I am sure many of the steemians will be unaware of Mvest or MV. They don't know what actually MV is. So in today's blog I will try my best to explore this topic and give a piece of information about MV to all the Steemit users. So let's start our blog without wasting any time.
What is Mvest? |

Vests are the internal concept for Steem Power, It Shows you your Steem Power. 1Mvest is equal to 1 million Vest. it is how they are understood by the network and computers. There is a rate to convert Vests into Steem Power which increases a little every single block. Basically the users got Steem Power, but Steemit show you the technical version in Mvest when they are showing you your Steem Power.
The STEEM POWER gives you VESTS or MVESTS
An equity is a stock in any company. Here in the Steemit, equities are vests. Vests determine your voting power. Just like real world stocks, a vest represents a percentage ownership of the steem-iverse.
Here is a data given below according to your Mvests (MV) in your account.
1000 MV = Legend = Whale
100 MV = Superhero = Orca
10 MV = Hero = Dolphin
1 MV = Superuser = Minnow
0.1 MV = User = Minnow
0.01 MV = Newbie = Plankton
What is the relationship between Mvest and Steem? |

Mvest and Steem are interlinked to each other. They work parallel in Steemit. When I get steem as a reward for my blogs, I use them in power up, called Steem power up. Those steems I use for power up increase my Mvest.
Mvest is actually the power of your account. The More Mvest you have in your account, the more powerful your account will be. Your account will be influencial and will have more voting power. Let me show you it's convergence: how must steem is equal to one MV.
This is the current data of today ( 7/07/023).

They are not showing me my data there, mostly probably because I am a newcomer here. They are not giving data of my account. I think your account must be 1 Year old to show you your data here. I have joined Steemit just a few months ago. You may see it in the screenshot.
Despite of all these I can figure it out through my own calculation. I have a total Sp of 429.4. So according to this calculation I have 0.755 MV.
Assuming that your account has 35,000.00 Steem Power, how many Mvest is it equal to? |

It is an easy process of converging 35k steem into MV.
I will do it with a simple Maths formula.
568 steem = 1MV
35000 Steem = ?
1MV × 35000 ÷ 568
61.61 MV is the answer.
Let's suppose there is an account with 35k steem power, his/her account will have 61.61 MV.

You nicely explained that the Mvest is the unit of measurement of Steem power in the Steemit platform. You have also explained the difference between Mvest and Steem which is a native token of Steemit platform. It is true that the Steem power and the Mvest are directly related to each other. Vests serve as the underlying concept for Steem Power and represent a user's stake in the Steem network. The conversion rate from Vests to Steem Power gradually increases with each block. Steemit displays this as Mvest to provide a technical representation of Steem Power.

Mvests are basically 1 million VEST so if you know the definition of VEST so if you truly understand the definition of VEST then you or everyone should not have a difficulty in understanding the definition of Mvest so good to know that you have a clear concept among them and have a clear understanding that what is the main difference between both of them as I have also explain the main difference between both of them in my first line
Secondly you made excellent efforts I want to say and the most interesting part of your engagement challenge which is very unique from other entries is that you have given us amount of vest that I user have a different level like newbie, plankton and minnow etc so it's an interesting thing and a new thing that I know from your post and increase my knowledge in this way
