No wonder it took you so long to write the post, lol.
Those pictures you post are simply amazing. I have an instant urge to pack my bags and visit South-Africa. It looks so beautiful over there...

Thanks for sharing your adventures. I feel like I've had an exotic holiday too now :0)

I do agree with @cicisaje, though: you could have had a post every day for an entire week if you had broken it down into shorter chunks.

Hey...

It took a while to sort through which pics would be good for the post, because a lot of them were somewhat blurry... This was because I was taking a lot while we were on the road :)
I am glad you enjoyed them though, I was hoping that by sharing this experience, everyone would like to someday visit South Africa for its beauty and not have to worry about the politics of the country...

Yeah, I definitely didn't realize at the time that I could have made this a 5 part post :(
Maybe next time I could do that and by then I will surely have more experience with my posts...

I was hoping I could've shared the videos that I took, but apparently you cannot directly have it in the post... It would have been nice to share some of the videos I took, like when we were driving around or the small walk through the trees to get to the Zip Line area... Maybe I will put it on YouTube or something and post the link in another post, but I'm not too sure about that :)

Oh yeah, once someone is still so young then celebrating is important. Once we turn 40 we stop doing it, right? :)

I'm glad to see that you recharged your batteries dear @shadown99

Did you encounter any crime or poverty during your stay?

Those photos are just amazing. I cannot imagine that it's all from South Africa. OMG.

Love it!

Piotr

Lol, I don't think anyone should stop celebrating :)

I actually did encounter quite a bit of poverty... the municipality of that region is somewhat poor, so the roads aren't well developed and there are mainly 4 way stops at intersections... hardly any robots. But surprisingly everyone obeys the laws of the road and just general laws there. Everyone is very well mannered and speak english, afrikaans and their mother tongues quite fluently.

The area that neighbors the town we were in was a township like area with a lot of poverty stricken people and I was surprised at how no crime took place during our stay there...

The pics are all from SA, the country is quite beautiful and in terms of infrastructure we can be classed as a first world country in that department :)

Thanx for the reply :D

Thank you for sharing your story @shadown99

I've learned lately how unsafe it is in some areas of South Africa and I rather visit Iraq (safety-wise).

I was surprised at how no crime took place during our stay there...

I'm glad.

Piotr

First thing first 😉 you shouldn't use other pictures to show up your beautiful country and city unless you took it yourself 😂😂😂 because there're many others had shared it before using the same site...😉

The second: you're 19 but too afraid to explore the maze yourself without your family 😁 oohh come on @shadown99 .. be a man, lol

Third: you could create a different story for each day rather than wrap it all in a single post!

4th: nice pull of the DQ... really nice cards😉 you'll got the gold when you reach silver 3, the chances are bigger when you pull 5 cards in a dq. See you on the battle field

Hey @cicisaja,
Thanx for the informative response... I can always count on you to help me improve :)

I will definitely keep the first point in mind for future reference :D I had just been to wrapped up in conversation with my dad about work related issues that I completely forgot to take pictures of the drive to Bela-Bela :(
But it was worth it because I learnt quite a bit about different companies and that I may have a good job opportunity in a few years after I study because a family friend is a Senior Manager of an IT company here in SA... :D

I wasn't afraid... Well, not of the maze per say, but afraid of looking weird by going through the maze myself ahahahaha. Majority of the people doing it go with their family and friends :D

I should have really consulted with you first on the third point, I get what you mean by saying that I should have done it in parts... How stupid of me :)

I actually am in silver 3, just waiting for a good haul of cards, like how you pulled the Gold Divine :D

Thanx for all the support you have given to me, I really appreciate it :)

But it was worth it because I learnt quite a bit about different companies and that I may have a good job opportunity in a few years after I study because a family friend is a Senior Manager of an IT company here in SA..

well done, it is really worth it! you can do all those taking pictures things later and create your own story thorugh your perspectives about the city.

and yes.. you'll have that gold cards later, because you derserved any of the gold for playing so diligently.. LOL.
