Settled in our new home; Gridcoinstats has moved

in #gridcoinstas7 years ago

We have currently switched servers. Some issues may arise during the period of 24 hours, please bear with us :)

So, #Gridcoin is getting quite some attention these days and forced me to go out and shop for some bigger stuff to be able to cope with the demand. The old server where just not wanting to keep up with it and last week I was forced to do an emergency upgrade of the server since it was running constantly on overload.

During the transition of the DNS you will land on https://www1.gridcoinstats.eu. When your DNS records are updated you will land on the original domain again.

New server specifications

  • 10 core Intel® Xeon® E5-2620v3 or E5-2630v4 processor
  • 50 GB RAM
  • 1200 GB SSD Disks
  • UNLIMITED traffic
  • 1 Gbit/s port

Yes, it's a monster :)

I hope these specifications will be enough for a while and I hope you enjoy your stay at Gridcoinstats.eu.

Further up I'm going to work on a new design and a whole new backend of the page, something that I enjoy making and has been looking forward to test some new things to manage the data. It will probably take a few months but I will be sure to keep everyone poste on the updates that will be around in a few months hopefully.

Now, go out and enjoy the summer!

Or winter, depending on where you live.
And if you live in Germany, I heard someone was building a big ark for you guys! ;)

Very cool! Followed.

I'm less than a week into my Gridcoin journey. Still hoping to get my first reward. :)

Probably should have done pool mining... but I wanted to try it out on my own first. Those estimates have been teasing me for days.

I went solo from day one, and while you will encounter a lot more random obstacles, I guarantee that it is far more satisfying. At the end of the day, it is how the network was intended to work.

Your screenshot looks like your client is trying to stake your noobie block. Shouldn't be long!

Last night I actually saw a message about generating a noobie block and I was all excited... and then the message went away and nothing changed. :(

Is there something else I should do? I guess I'll just wait.

gj guys... so much work!!

Holy crap that server is a beast! Is it a vps/rented-dedicated-server/home-server?

I wrote some about my security measures and the new setup of servers in my witness update the other day to 😊

Yeah I gave a shout-out to that post during today's beyondbitcoin hangout

It's running on a VPS server, so depending on the usage I guess the CPU power can flux, but we still have enough RAM and Disk Space to grow :)
