.Patron: a social network market through the blockchain

INTRODUCTION


Right from the days of the Roman Empire, various means were used to create the awareness of the general public about some new products. For example, Julius Cesar was popularly known for his victories among battles he fought but he made sure to leave his victories and name in the lips of many through self advertising and promotion with the aide of books  and publications. This method  in return, garnered loyal and faithful followers both from within and outside his country throughout  his reign.


In our current dispensation today, this self advertising strategy that was practice by Julius Caesar is been used as a means of marketing a product through the use of celebrities which is called celebrities endorsement. The use of celebrity ambassadors for products promotion has contributed immensely to the sales of some products as it is evident in this century. Unfortunately, this method is now old-fashioned. In todays' world through the power of Social Networking Service, via mobile devices, individuals can interact with large numbers of people and subsequently influencing their characters, these people are called Social Influencers. Social media promoters has evolved over the years and advertising products via SMIs can be easily classified as a form of subconscious marketing. This type of marketing has grown because for ages, brands and advertisers have been seeking to shape consumers’ thoughts, attitudes, desires and behavior, without us even being aware of it. And the weird truth is, they’ve been amazingly succesful... 


Like the saying goes “whatever has an advantage has a disadvantage. The current platforms have some problems that need to be addressed. 

For example:

  • How do companies know which is the best influencer to hire?  
  • Do influencers get a fair revenue from their time and resource investment? 
  • Do companies reach the target audience they want? 
  • Do the followers are rewarded in some way? 
  • Can sponsors of marketing campaigns have the demographic data of the potential reach of each influencer? 

The developing of the Social Network industry will be lead to the next level. All the previous answers will be answered with PATRON.


PATRON

Patron is a social influence sharing platforms that uses a very simple and straightforward model to connects Sponsors (such as Companies) to Hosts (Influencers) in order to promote/market goods and services to the Users (fans or provide cost-effective advertising to Sponsors. It is also able to achieve this by tokenising actions on the platform, by making use of blockchain technology. With PATRON, the sponsor can carry easily and effectively conduct studies on the targeted population, metrics such as demography, buying habits, levels of engagement, influencers reaching potential, and many others will be available.

 Advantages of  PATRON

• Making use of an influencers delivery frame on the spot (Pay per use)

• Making use of an influencer for some months (Monthly plan)

• Long-term use of influencers to control the market and gain an advantage (Annual plan)

A sharing economy requires some level of trust between users, and PATRON ensures that this is implemented, by making use of Blockchain Technology/the use of Smart Contracts, seeing it does not require third parties to function effectively.


Patron Evaluation 

  • Trust, they say, is the greatest human motivation and it is only developed when influencers satisfies their followers expectations. It could be via the created contents in quality, it could also be via all the promises made to the followers that was met. Every single time, an influencer meets a need he has promised to meet, he/she builds trust in the relationship with the audience. A trustworthy influencer has more impact on the behavior of her audience more than an untrustworthy one. Such influencer can easily sell an idea, service or products to his audience


  • Hosts with more digital presence tend to reach out to more users simply because of the difference in taste of end users, who could choose to be in one social medium and not another. So, Patron hosts which reaches out to a broader demographic of users definitely has a higher dissemination ability and would score him/her more points of worth & rank. Those of two of the factors which would surely be considered under that criterion..


  •  An influencer who has not settled on yet on a particular niche would attract persons of varying interests to his following. Such influencers would have a reduced engagement in his/her contents, as only fractions (possibly a very small one if the influencer creates contents across a broad range of niches) will be interested and engage with that released content. A consistent content influencer however, usually gets large engagements in his created content because of the audience of homogeneous interest.


Guests or Sponsors

Sponsors/Guests can either be companies or brands in search for Influencers to promote their products for a specific timeframe depending on the duration of contract or deal made with such influencers. Moreover, they could be assured of what the outcome would be within the timeframe. The sponsor page will include sponsor profile, influencer list with filters and booking page. Via a message facility provided, sponsors are able to send questions and make inquiries. Sponsors are basically screened on two different criteria:

  • The company/agency involved
  • The financial capability of the sponsor

The blockchain allows to eliminate the intermediary or any type of central financial organization that guarantees the transactions, in addition, it is possible to create the trust based on the history of each one of the participants of the ecosystem. Ensuring the credibility of P2P transactions between individuals. In this way, this technological infrastructure is used to record transactions and operations in a transparent and secure manner.

CONCLUSION


PATRON is the platform for supporting the influencers’ market. It provides influencers’ sharing economy model: Airbnb Influencers and SNS users around the world will be able to post, discover and book social media sharing economy information on the internet and mobile tablet. PATRON is a highly reliable marketing place of influencers’ sharing economy, where the influencer's SNS delivery frame are tokenized utilizing blockchain technology.

Social networks have revolutionized the way people communicate; with the operation of this decentralized technology, the Blockchain comes to offer security and stability. Cryptocurrencies decentralize the power that once was in the hands of private companies, decentralized autonomous organizations that no longer depend on individuals have all kinds of services that bring together consumers and suppliers, eliminating intermediaries and enhancing the connectivity.
