Is laziness hereditary?
Lazy people and their mannerisms. Well, it does seem to have some connection with heredity and genes. I am not sure if it has been proved scientifically but if we observe a lazy person and the habits, we can source it to another ancestor, probably.
I have made this observation in my family itself. I have two uncles, both of whom are well educated and had good jobs but somehow they did not have the 'drive' to work hard and make a success of their life. Both of them left their jobs, and are still sitting at home, simply doing nothing. Thankfully, their wives are not so lazy and the poor things have to work hard to make ends meet. It is a wonder they did not leave these guys. Both my uncles in the above said are direct brothers. one of my cousin brothers have taken after them and used to change jobs frequently without sticking on.
This made me wonder too if laziness runs in the family. I observed that my niece and nephew are not actually helping the parents and instead they are glued to their mobiles. when I visited them, I asked my niece to help her mother and she just smiled in an awkward way. I hope they don't misunderstand my advice but take it in the right sense and start doing chores because they are old enough to do so.
The parents have to have a say in the matter. They should make the children do some work so that the children are not trained' to be lazy. A list of chores should be given and daily duties can be assigned so that the children do it on a daily basis without having the need to remind them.
Doing chores will also help the kids to stay away from the mobile.
What do you feel?
