The Cycle Of Life and Death for Trees in a Rainforest

Happy Saturday Steemit Family!

In between heavy rain showers walks to the beach happen. It is very common to come across fallen trees. The sound of a tree trunk splitting and crashing to the ground is a frequent sound.

Such is the cycle of life in the rainforest. Trees grow and they fall down. It takes a while to come to terms with this as a natural cycle for in my heart every time I hear that crashing sound I feel the sadness of the loss of a tree. The locals are way tougher emotionally of course and hear it as a fresh wood supply to be sawed up.
In some places in the world your daily commute could be upset by roadworks or car accidents. Here commutes are held up by fallen trees across the road.
It is not uncommon for people to travel with a chainsaw … just in case.

Coconut palms are planted regularly along the beaches - they are a fabulous source of food and refreshment for locals and visitors alike. They also offer a little shade from the scorching tropical sun! The rainy season storms can take out trees at any time so replanting is an ongoing way of life here.

There is so much driftwood its fun finding interesting shapes and colours for craft projects although of course it is technically illegal to remove driftwood from the beaches here…. I think a few tiny pieces won’t be missed lol

Your natural world has so much in common with ours here in Thailand! I loved the cheeky crab at the end... LOL. Those red flowers we also have everywhere.

It's the small things in the end which unite us, isn't it?

Lovely post.

It is very true although you have more diversity of fruit in Thailand maybe.

Thank you very much .

Where there is any abundance of life there is also an abundance of death.
Beautiful photos.
