Rock@88: Good Food, Great Beer & Excellent Company!!
It is mid winter here in South-Africa and it can become quite could. The past Friday after work we decided to meet up with a couple of our friends and go for something to eat and some nice socializing over a coupe of beers. We decided to visit Rock@88 which is described as a Bar & Braai, thus the food is mostly meat!! Great stuff!!
The restaurant is mostly open air, thus being winter they have lit some nice fires, which gave the entire place a very nice atmosphere - and it help against the winter cold!! I decided to have a Windhoek Draft Beer. which just looked amazing with the fire in the background!! Look at those golden bubbles and nice white head!!

Below is a second beer, as you can see the sun has now set and it is dark outside.
Below you can see some more of the place, they also have a big screen, where some world cup action was going on!!
The place is very popular and it was packed!!
I decide to have some **FILLET with a PEPPER sauce ** and some PAPTERT which is a typical South-African dish. (I see they translate it as Porridge Pie, but I don't think the translation does justice to it, thus just follow the Link to see the recipe)
To my wives horror, the food was finger liking good!! That pepper sauce was great!!
The evening turned out to be great, as I said in the title Good Food, Great Beer & Excellent Company!!
