I'm fresh off the Steemit account verification email and just learning about this community. Steemit seems like it has so much more depth and possibility than other social media. I'll admit the monetary side makes sense but kind of spooks me a bit. Really looking forward to seeing what others are up too on here and the future of the platform.

I feel like this place is about giving and has a big crypto following which is what brought me here so I would like to share a photography project I did back in 2011. I happened to be in New York when the Occupy Wallstreet movement was gaining momentum. I had a horrible, 4 lens plastic 35mm camera that I was testing out for street photography. The energy in the air was electric, there was a lot of positivity rising up over the anger, fear and disbelief. I think this was one of the many turning points. Be good to each other.
