"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!" MJ exclaimed at the sight of fire falling from the sky.
"What the HELL is going on!?" Steve added.
He had lost his usual cool, something which was out of place for "Steve, the wonder gun".

It terrified Anne to see how everyone was acting. She could barely cope with the anxiety. Everyone was speechless in what to say or do.
Alan kept flicking through the channels trying to find a working station to no avail. He was met with nothing but static. The 5G wasn't working either, and the internet was dead. They were in the dark so to speak. The lights flickered every so often scaring them at the possibility of a complete blackout in this darkest night of a day.
"Okay, everyone remain calm! I've got some provisions which should help in case of a complete blackout" Kyle said as he took four flashlights out of one of his duffel bags.
He passed one to Anne, who gripped it tightly for safety, and passed the other three torches to Alan, Frank, and MJ.
"I'm glad you are here Kyle" Anne sighed with relief.
Anne looked at Kyle's duffel bags and wondered what else he might have in there. She noticed Eva eyeing her up as she eyed up the duffel bags. Eva seemed unusually calm.

Steve closed the curtains, blocking out the scene outside as if to shield them from what was happening across the city "I hope Mark is okay..."
"I'm sure he is just fine" Kyle reassured him.
"It's working!" Alan shouted in triumph.
They all fixed their eyes on the television. It was the local news channel from before. The news room was empty, dead looking. A low screeching noise echoed out from the television.
"Do you think they evacuated?" Anne asked.
A transparent black shadow began to cross the news room as the video began to flicker. It looked like some sort of feedback... an after image. As the figure turned and looked at the camera, its hollow empty terrifying face began to open as if to consume the camera, and the feed cut out again.
"W! T! F!" Steve exclaimed, somewhat recovering a modicum of his coolness.
"Okay, that's enough of that " Kyle said as he pulled the plug on the television, "Pack supplies in case we have to leave" he commanded.
"I'm not going outside!" Anne protested.
"You might not have a choice " Kyle coldly declared.

Frank watched as Alan and Steve gathered supplies. Kyle was whispering to Eva, and Anne and MJ kept checking their phones for connection. Frank felt out of place again. Like he didn't belong to this scene. He was out of place and not of use. Useless... He thought about his gun.
"I'm going to grab some thing from mine" he said, planning on getting the gun.
"I'll go with you" MJ said grabbing his hand.
"Don't be long!" Steve shouted from the spare room as he filled a rucksack.

Frank didn't know why MJ would want to go with him. He wanted to get his gun without anyone knowing. Her coming with him would be an inconvenience, but he didn't know how to say "no".

They exited the apartment. The air was crisp cold. It hit Frank like a cup of cold coffee. The spits of fire spewing from the deep dark sky was beautiful, like God himself was spitting chunks of burning coal. Some of them seemed to burn up before hitting the ground, others seemed to be setting building ablaze.
It felt like a supernatural quiet, as Frank descended the stairs with MJ in hand. Every step felt like a loud pronouncement of existence in a dead cold world.
They quickly made their way to Frank's flat. Down the street on the main road were figures running, making their way away from the city. They looked like people, scared people, but this darkness ate up perception.

"Wait here" Frank said to MJ, as he grabbed a backpack from the kitchen and headed into his bedroom.
MJ didn't want to be left alone, but she complied, not wanting to intrude.
Frank filled his bag with some extra layers, a first aid box, bottles of water, two spare torches, and some other miscellaneous items. He wasn't really thinking or planning ahead. He was just grabbing and throwing, mainly concerned with getting the gun, which he stuffed down the side of the backpack.

As he entered into the kitchen he was treated to MJ bending over looking through his fridge. He could see up her red leather skirt. Her lace black panties matched her thigh high stockings, which accentuated her ass and thighs. The amazonian goddess looked so vulnerable and sexy. A bulge grew in Frank's trousers.
FUCK he didn't know what came over him as he approached her from behind.
It was as if she was wiggling, putting herself on show for him as she looked through the fridge. He placed his hands on her ass and squeezed. As she stood up he placed one arm around her neck as he continued squeezing her ass. She turned to look at him.
"..." MJ's words were cut with Frank pressing his lips against hers.
He turned her around, not letting loose of his grip, as he slid his hand up her skirt and began rubbing her already wet snatch.
"MMmmph" MJ tried to say something, but she couldn't get any words out with Frank all over her.
If it was the end of the world, Frank didn't care anymore. He pushed her to the ground onto her knees as he unzipped and took his cock out. She looked up at him with doe eyes... so vulnerable looking as if she was begging for it.
"I.." MJ opened her mouth before having it stuffed with cock.
Frank put his hands on MJ's head, as he grabbed onto her silky hair, and began pulling her head back and forth as he simultaneously thrusted.
She looked up at him, making eye contact, pressing her hands against his thighs, trying to push back.
"Mmmmph!" is the only noise she could make.
Frank aggressively pumped her mouth until finally coming. He held her head tightly until she swallowed it all.
As the cock slid out of MJ's mouth, she gasped for breath, as she looked up at Frank who was towering over her.
"I've never been so horny!" she said as she kissed his cock, thanking him, before standing up and squeezing him with a hug.
Frank threw her over the kitchen table and fucked her from behind.
He was almost kicking himself on the inside, as if a great revelation of something he should have known had been missing from his life up until this point. His game had always been lacking. He had always lacked action.

"You guys took your time! We were close to sending a search party!" Steve half-joked as Frank and MJ returned to the flat upstairs.
"We were..." MJ's excuse was cut short as a phone began to ring.
"Who's phone is that?" Steve questioned.
The ringtone was distinctive... Beethoven, 5th symphony... it was Mark's phone.
Steve looked to the kitchen counter where he left Mark's phone earlier, but it wasn't there. The phone ringing was coming from the spare room.
"Did anyone move Mark's phone?" Steve asked as he entered the dark spare room.
"Wasn't me" Kyle said.
Steve flicked the light switch up and down, but it wasn't working. The gang watched with somewhat anxiety and anticipation as Steve moved towards the spare bed.
"Mark, is that you?" Steve said as he looked towards the corner of the spare room, out of sight from what the others could see.
Steve squinted as he stared at the apparition. It had to be Mark. Steve would recognize that figure anywhere, even if he could only see a shadow. As the shadow approached Steve, light from outside gave detail to the apparition. The eyes were empty and hollow. The mouth was a slit of cut flesh. It wasn't human. It was dead flesh arranged as a person. Fear crept down Steve's spine, paralyzing him as he stared forward at the thing approaching.
"You okay Steve? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Kyle jested, cutting the tense atmosphere.
The spare room door suddenly shut. Steve could be heard on the other side shouting and screaming.
"Wha tha" Anne garbled, half hyperventilating in fear.
They all just watched, as if they were stuck in motion as Steve screamed, shouted, and scraped at the door until the noises stopped.
Alan jumped into action and tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Help me!" Alan screamed at Frank and Kyle.
As Alan started kicking the door, smoke began to escape from underneath.
"FUCK! Steve!" Alan shouted.
Kyle got up to grab his duffel bags, as Alan and Frank began shoulder barging the door.
"I think it is time to go!" Kyle suggested.
MJ protested "Steve's in there! We can't leave him, and where's Eva?"
In all the confusion no one saw her leaving.
With the word "Shit!" Alan finally made the door give way.
The spare room was on fire. Steve was standing in the thick of the flames, looking at them with empty eyes, his skin melting, like he was made of wax.
Kyle grabbed Alan and pulled him back from the spare room as the roof began to cave in.
"We have to go, NOW!" Kyle commanded.
Alan knew that Steve was gone for... although that didn't look like Steve in there. It didn't look real. It looked like an unholy manifestation. Something straight out of hell.
"FUCK!" Alan cried as he grabbed his backpack.
Eva appeared from out of the bathroom. She was wearing her Nazi uniform again.
"It's functional" she said, as if to explain her change of wardrobe.
There was no more time for any more words.

The fire began to spread and the apartment began to fill with smoke. They quickly evacuated, as they made their way onto the dead streets...
