I Dont Want to Go Home

It was one of the worse days of Alex’s life. His result for math exam has published. He got only 13. Not only that the professor has written on his exam paper with a red pen, “IDIOT”.
Alex folded his exam sheet so that no one can see what the professor has written. But all on a sudden the professor said “Stand on the bench”.
Alex stood on the bench.

The professor said then “Show everyone what I have written on your exam paper”.
Alex showed everyone. Some students in the front row started laughing. Professor shouted loudly “Who is laughing? I will sew his mouth.”
There was pin drop silence in the classroom. But some of the students were still laughing. The professor again shouted. This time louder and said "I will slap you so hard that all your teeth will fall down and you will count them. Is this a theater?"

The professor is named Milos. Everyone calls him the angel of death. Whenever he passes by, everyone put their head down and walks silently
Anyway Professor said,”Alex, you will be standing on the bench for whole class”. Alex just said softly "Ok."
It is not problematic to him that he has to stand on the bench for one long hour but the problem is what he is going to say to his father. His father is a very angry person. In compare to his father the professor’s angriness is nothing. He just looked out from the window with a pale face and started sweating in this cold weather.

Alex wonders “How a hard thing like math enters in the course of school curriculum. What is the benefit of learning math? Why the monkey has to climb up the oily tree? Ok , If he climbs in the first second, why he has to fall down in that next second”. He sighs and thinks, ”What a waste of time?”
Classes finished. It was 4:15 pm. Alex didn’t move from the bench. He was sitting there and he doesn’t know even for how long. The man who locks the classrooms asked him, “What happened? Why are you not going home?
He said “Nothing. Just go away.”
The man said “Oh, I got it now. You failed the exam. You won’t go until someone from your home comes and takes you. Is it something like that?”
Then he started laughing at Alex. Alex started to run and came out of the school gate and go in a quiet place and sat down there.

It has started getting darker. Suddenly the nearby bushes started moving. He felt a cold wind of fear just passed through his brain and his heart started beating fast. He started crying and wiping his tears off with the sleeves of his shirt.
Suddenly a voice from the dark said “Hey boy, why are you crying?”
It was dark. So, Alex, didn’t see clearly who was over there. It looked like someone really tall with a bag on his back and he has big glasses on even in this darkness.
The man asked again, ”Hey little one, what happened?”
Alex said “I got 13 in math exam” and tears were falling down on his cheeks.
“Is that so?” the man asked.
“Yes and even the professor write in big letters ’IDIOT’ ” Alex replied.
“He took it too far. He directly punched on your intelligence and it was so rude that he wrote in big letters ’IDIOT’. He could have written it in small letters “ the man said.
Alex started crying loudly.

-“Don’t cry. This is not the time to cry. We have to think sharply. We should think what we can do about it.”
Alex said, “I will not go to school. I won’t even go home. I will catch the bus and go to Nottingham.”
“Not a very bad plan but we don’t have to hurry. Let’s think it through. By the way, what’s your name?"
“Alex. I am in class eight and who are you?”
“Suki” the man replied.
“I beg your pardon.”
“Suki. I know that my name is strange as I am not from here”
“What do you do?” Alex asked.
“I am just a traveler. I go from places to places ”.
Alex was curious and asked, “Where are you from?”
The man answered, “I am from another star system in milky way in this case we are neighbors.”
Alex thought, “Is this man crazy? He is talking like a normal man.”
“In your planet you speak in English?” Alex asked.
“No, we don’t. I have an instrument in my shoulder which helps me to understand your language and to talk in it. It can be used for any intelligent being. Do you want to try?” Suki said.
Alex was a bit scared a bit and said,” ok give me but will it hurt?”
“Well you can have a headache” he replied.
Alex took the instrument and put it on his shoulder and heard crickets were talking. What they were saying was “more food, I need more food to eat. What these two men are doing here? Why don’t they go?”
Alex was totally astonished.

“Do you know that they don’t talk like us. They rub their wings and that’s how they talk. How wonderfully nature has created us? “ Suki said
Alex didn’t pay attention. He was listening to the birds talking. They were saying, “Why this men are not going? They are not letting us sleep. Human doesn’t have any intelligence and they started laughing.”
“Can I talk with them? Will they understand?” Alex asked Suki.
“Well some of it. They are not that intelligent creature. Whales and dolphin would be able to. They are so much intelligent. Just they don’t have hands. That is why they are living with the lower level creature. ” he replied.
“Why they don’t have hands?” Alex asked.
“Cause nature play games with us. Did you think about what will you do?” Suki asked.
“I will go with you” Alex replied.
He said, “You can’t go with me. We don’t use spaceship to travel. We use teleportation and I will go to Titan, a satellite of Jupiter.”
Alex said,” I will go to titan with you”

“It is full of sulphur dioxide and also poisonous chlorine gas. You won’t survive a second” Suki said.
Alex’s face became pale.
“It is better for you to study and learn math. You should not get 13 and when you grow up you will make an instrument like this” Suki said.
“I don’t want” Alex replied.
“You human are so weird. You think something, tell something else. Just now you were thinking, from today you are going to study hard and learn math good and you will be an inventor” Suki said
“How did you know” Alex asked.
“I have a communicator which can tell me what you are thinking. Do you want to know what your father is thinking?” Suki asked.

He hands over the communicator to Alex. Alex finds out that man who locks the classrooms told the professor and his father about him. Now they are searching for him.
Alex's father told to himself, “My poor boy, so what you got 13? You are not coming home because you are afraid of me. I will never be angry at you again. Come back home and he was wiping off his tears”
