 Is psychopath in the DSM?

For the very first time, the APA recognized psychopathy as a “specifier” of clinical antisocial personality disorder in the DSM-5, although psychopathy is still not an officially accepted clinical diagnosis. ... It is significant because the DSM-5 serves as a universal authority for the diagnosis of psychiatric disorders. Psychology Today 

 Perhaps the DSM-5 ( Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders ) doesn't officially recognize psychopathy as "an accepted clinical diagnosis" is because they, better than anyone else, understand that a psychopathic personality is what drives people toward positions of power. To put their official imprimatur on it as a disorder would be tantamount to unmasking the entire power structure of the US, if not the world. 

 I wrote in The Asshole Quotient about the four types of people from a political perspective... Leaders and followers and those driven by rational self-interest and those driven by irrational self-interest (inner-directedness or myopic selfishness). The last category describes people who would qualify as psychopaths- those who exhibit no empathy and will do anything to achieve personal gain. Another term that would fit in today's political climate would be Democrat, but that wouldn't be inclusive enough. The Republicans also have their share of psychopaths... Mitt Romney, Richard Burr and several others come to mind. I suppose you could say people who have sold their souls for power would be more fitting- whether literally or figuratively. Perhaps the Deep State would be the most accurately descriptive name. Names aside, it does appear that America is being "ruled" by psychopaths.

 Sociopaths, psychopaths, antisocial personality disorder- perhaps we could throw malignant narcissism in for good measure.  "Twenty years ago, a newspaper headline asked the question: “What’s the difference between a politician and a psychopath? ”The answer, then and now, remains the same: None. There is no difference between psychopaths and politicians." 

 American politics wasn't always like this, it seems that the psychopathy of our politicians seems to mirror the psychopathy of the electorate- or perhaps vice versa. There used to be statesmen in American politics, people for which you didn't need term limits because they never succumbed to the insanity that seems to grip our elected officials... and some of them were even Democrats believe it or not. @enjoywithtroy2 and I were talking about this yesterday and it brought to mind Tip O'Neill, former Speaker of the House and a Democrat. Unfortunately, men like him have gone the way of the wooly mammoth. 

  Nor is there much of a difference between the havoc wreaked on innocent lives by uncaring, unfeeling, selfish, irresponsible, parasitic criminals and elected officials who lie to their constituents, trade political favors for campaign contributions, turn a blind eye to the wishes of the electorate, cheat taxpayers out of hard-earned dollars, favor the corporate elite, entrench the military industrial complex, and spare little thought for the impact their thoughtless actions and hastily passed legislation might have on defenseless citizens.  

 This gets worse as time goes on. Since the proliferation of television sets and now computers and electronics, each subsequent generation of Americans has become more and more self-absorbed... and Congressmen (and woman) aren't exempt. A good example is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of the Broad Squad who believes that the military is overpaid for protecting her right to be an idiot, but she isn't being paid enough for basically just showing up. " Psychopaths and politicians both have a tendency to be selfish, callous, remorseless users of others, irresponsible, pathological liars, glib, con artists, lacking in remorse and shallow. Charismatic politicians, like criminal psychopaths, exhibit a failure to accept responsibility for their actions, have a high sense of self-worth, are chronically unstable, have socially deviant lifestyles, need constant stimulation, have parasitic lifestyles and possess unrealistic goals. It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about Democrats or Republicans."   

 The result of political psychopathy is the same as democracy... both eventually turn into tyrannical totalitarian regimes. One symptom of these pathologically narcissistic personality types is their inability to take criticism, whether personal or of their legislative attempts. A good example is Barack Obama who constantly bypassed Congress with his "pen and phone." With a fawning sycophantic press behind him, Obama enjoyed what amounted to a monarchy. He's responsible for more executive orders than any other president in history. 

  Once psychopaths gain power, the result is usually some form of totalitarian government or a pathocracy. “At that point, the government operates against the interests of its own people except for favoring certain groups,” author James G. Long notes. “We are currently witnessing deliberate polarizations of American citizens, illegal actions, and massive and needless acquisition of debt. This is typical of psychopathic systems, and very similar things happened in the Soviet Union as it overextended and collapsed.”  In other words, electing a psychopath to public office is tantamount to national hara-kiri, the ritualized act of self-annihilation, self-destruction and suicide. It signals the demise of democratic government and lays the groundwork for a totalitarian regime that is legalistic, militaristic, inflexible, intolerant and inhuman.  

 "Militaristic, inflexible, intolerant and inhuman" describe almost perfectly the coup against President Trump, by Democrats, RINO's and entrenched bureaucrats left over from the Obama administration. There's a psychopathic pathology about the way the Deep State and their allies in the MSM are attacking the president. 

  The willingness to prioritize power above all else, including the welfare of their fellow human beings, ruthlessness, callousness and an utter lack of conscience are among the defining traits of the sociopath. When our own government no longer sees us as human beings with dignity and worth but as things to be manipulated, maneuvered, mined for data, manhandled by police, conned into believing it has our best interests at heart, mistreated, jailed if we dare step out of line, and then punished unjustly without remorse—all the while refusing to own up to its failings—we are no longer operating under a constitutional republic.  

 The FBI (law enforcement psychopaths- political henchmen more than an investigative agency ) have already marked anyone that questions the official government narrative as "conspiracy theorists" and "domestic terrorists." As more and more people begin to see through the political smokescreen of lies and half-truths, the more furious the attacks by the psychopaths will become. America is already on the brink of a civil war. This because the psychopathy isn't limited to those in power. 

  Worse, psychopathology is not confined to those in high positions of government. It can spread like a virus among the populace. As an academic study into pathocracy concluded, “[T]yranny does not flourish because perpetuators are helpless and ignorant of their actions. It flourishes because they actively identify with those who promote vicious acts as virtuous.”  The goal of the modern corporate state is obvious: to promote, cultivate, and embed a sense of shared identification among its citizens. To this end, “we the people” have become “we the police state.”We are fast becoming slaves in thrall to a faceless, nameless, bureaucratic totalitarian government machine that relentlessly erodes our freedoms through countless laws, statutes, and prohibitions.  

 This is why we see the rise of groups such as ANTI-fa. As the IG report draws near and the transition of the AG probe from administrative to criminal, the Deep State is in a panic.  The desperation of the Deep State is becoming palpable. Many of the psychopaths in government are looking at real prison time for their involvement in both the Russia Collusion Hoax, the Ukraine Hoax and a number of other crimes involving the Clinton Crime Family (and their foundation). And that's only the beginning... history will show the Obama administration to be the most corrupt in history. These people are for the most part Marxists who believe that the end justifies the means. With the support of the MSM they've been operating with impunity for decades. Mike Adams, the author of the article predicted:

 It isn't difficult to imagine that protesters get paid a little extra to "get carried away," with their protests. An ad in Craigslist states that protesters get between $15-$20 per hour... the perfect occupation for losers who can't, or don't want to get, normal jobs- in other words ANTI-fa.  The Deep State and their lackeys may be psychopaths- a manifestation of mental illness, but I don't think so, or if it is it's a deliberate state of mental illness. I believe that psychopathy is a choice, a deliberate unburdening oneself of morals and ethics. People are born inner-directed- it's how we let "momma" know when we're hungry or need our diaper changed. As we mature we learn ethical and moral behaviors... most of us at least. Psychopaths are people who refuse to mature, choosing instead to hold on to infantile behaviors that center around "self," a myopic selfishness if you will. 

 Although psychopaths may be "crazy" in some sense of the word, they are far from stupid- at the upper levels at least. The useful idiots of ANTI-fa and Crowds on Demand aren't very bright... after all they allow themselves to be manipulated in situations where ethics and morals should tell them better. However, the higher-ups pulling their strings may exhibit infantile behavior, they are very clever- in the same way that a spoiled child knows how to get their own way. These are the dangerous ones, malignant narcissists with no consciences.
