Stop explaining, people will judge you by their perception and will claim more explanation!
Maybe you get the whole thing what I'm going to to say by my headline. But my question is, do we really follow that? Or do we realize how this is affecting on our life?

It needs me much time to realize the thing that no matter what amount of explanation you gave to someone on certain thing, they will believe what they think and will never trust you. They will judge by their own perception, what they think of you not what you said or what you are.*
So why we need to waste our time on proving ourselves and our activities to others! I came to realize it only makes you more fragile to others, it showcase you as a weak person or other people started to believe so. Once you start explaining something to others, they will need much more explanation for the next time. They will use your emotions and will play with it.
It's true that there is also need of some sort of explanation to our beloved one. It helps to reduce misunderstanding and clear our thoughts. But remember don't make yourself undervalued by doing so. Try to show that you are only explaining because you want it to be clear, not to prove yourself that you are not guilty.

Do explain yourself for love not to prove anything. If you are guilty, approve it. There is much shame on proving yourself why you did this than approving your guilty. At least that's what I believe.
It's always the better way I think that we should be clear to each other no matter what the relationship is. But we should not always use the path to explain ourselves. You can prove your position by your activities. People who need explanation for your act will never gonna understand you. I personally practice this thing in my life. And find it really helpful.
