Negative Energy And Hauntings

in #paranormal6 years ago (edited)

Have you felt the hairs stand up on the back of your neck and a cold breeze sweep by you?

Maybe it’s your imagination running wild after watching a spooky story on the tube or is there someone or something haunting you?

Since the ghost no longer has a physical body, the form he /she tries to make, of their earthly shape, will look distorted and sometimes scary.

My last sighting of an unusual entity was this tree nature spirit. if you look closely at the circle on the birch, there is a face watching from the circle on the tree.

The tree is along my friend’s driveway and seems to watch all who leave her home.

Of course the nature spirit is not the same as a haunting ghost who may be scaring the bejeezus out of you but it is an example of another type of spirit that connect us to the Faerie Realm, a parallel dimension.

Trees have a close relationship with humans and can keep us grounded. They can transmute our negative energies and help us heal. Meditating beside one with a known tree spirit can be especially helpful in dispelling negative energies.

Now back to the ghosts....

When I was a youngster...eons before internet and cellphones, sitting around the old wood stove in the winter and telling ghost stories was a favourite pastime. This was usually at my grandmother’s home. She had the scariest tales of ghostly apparitions appearing and causing havoc with the living.

After hearing these stories my feet never touched the ground as I ran like the wind the half a mile home. It was the countryside and luckily not much traffic. I travelled, full speed, mainly in the middle of the road in case something otherworldly grabbed at my leg from the ditch.

Grandmother was the bravest person. I was confident my dear grandmother would protect me against whatever threatened me. She always told me if I left the presence of a wild animal or ghost to starting singing at the top of my lungs.

“Make as much noise as you can, Joanna!”

Looking back I think she was a psychic with the ability to pierce the veil into the unseen world

My loss was great when Grandmother died when I was thirteen. After all these years her wise words still resound in my head.

Memorize a mantra to say aloud when afraid”...

”By all my good thoughts and the power invested in me, I ask the universe to remove all negative energy from my presence and fill the space with love.”

Every spring she would put salt around the house and recite a prayer or mantra to keep negative energy away. Sometimes the prayer would be part of psalm 23:

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Salt’s spiritual power is often underrated. Besides expelling negative vibrations, salt has been touted to heal, cleanse, and neutralizer.

Besides actually cleaning your house and keeping it free from clutter, the use of burning sage, or smudging, is another way to cleanse out negative energy.

Often ghosts are harmless. Sometimes it is a beloved deceased family member trying to reach you to let you know they have passed successfully into the next plane of existence.

If a person is killed suddenly they may not realize they are dead and they keep trying to reach out to familiar people, thus appearing in a ghostly form. Often a skilled medium can communicate and explain what has happened. This helps the deceased to move out of this dimension to the next level of existence.

Other times they appear to help you through certain hardships or because your grief holds them to the earth plane.

If you feel the haunting is from an evil source, call on your angels to also help dispel the entity.

The reason this subject of hauntings came to mind was a post @keithboone.

It is about the eerie ghost of Doris, killed by her lover in 1936. She has haunted for years a golf course in Victoria, B.C., where she was murdered. She now has her sights on Keith.

I really didn't want to read this... but of course I read it anyways
Creepy
And that salt thing... I still do it sometimes
I also carry a nail with me in my handbag... apparently the spirits won't follow you home if you have some sort of metal

Anyways, I did enjoy this read... even though really didn't want to look at the tree... but I did....
shudder :D

Thanks for reading and I am glad you enjoyed the read. Not to worry, the tree spirit will not harm. Trees protect us.
That’s interesting about the metal nail keeping them away. You must be intuitive and have the gift of empathy. If you become scared, picture yourself surrounded by a white light of love and call on your angels to protect you.

Thanks @redheadpei for this great piece. And you're Grandmother sounded like a wonderful person :)

Iam a skeptic by nature but also very open minded. And there are stuff that has happened in this World that are just unexplained.

Thanks Rob. I’m happy you liked it. Yes, as is said, there are more things between heaven and hell than we can ever imagine. 😊

Thanks for sharing that story. I to believe in spirits / ghosts.

Thanks Rent for your kind support. I bet you have some ghost stories of your own. 😊

Thanks for sharing your insights and your grandmother's wisdom! I love that your heritage and your intuition connect you so strongly to other realms!

Thank you dear Melinda. That’s the nicest thing to say. 💕

Howdy redheadpei! "now she has her sights set on Keith" lol...so true, the poor guy. Your grandmother was amazing and wise! It's too bad you didn't have more time with her but it's funny that she would scare the dickens out of you with her stories! lol.

Hi Cowboy! I think the ghost stories Grandmother told were to let her grandchildren understand the soul is eternal and even after physical death there still is consciousness. The ghost stories were mainly of people she had known and their appearance after death. There were always a bunch of her grandchildren gathered around, with me, anxious for her stories . They were not always ghost stories.

Howdy redheadpei, oh that sounds like so much fun to be a little kid and sit around listening to them tell those stories! I suppose that wouldn't happen these days because even the little kids have $600 Iphones and all they do is look down and don't listen to anyone!

So true Cowboy. I’m not around many children but when I see them they often have their head down looking at their iPads or phone, usually playing games. Parents are smart if they put a limit on the time their kids spend on their gadgets and set aside a hour each evening for quality/fun conversation.

Howdy redheadpei! that sounds like wise advice about the limits for the iPads and such but I wonder how many do that? Maybe 30 percent at best is what I'd guess. Hopefully it's higher in Canada, I don't have much faith in our parents down here! lol.

Funny story- my niece has a seven yr. old and. 3 yr. old both with iPads. Hubs was talking to the 3 yr. old and suddenly he said, “Excuse me, I have to check my iPad.”
It sounded so funny coming from the little tyke.

wow redheadpei! lol..is that good, bad, or just the way it is these days? I'm sure there's arguments for both sides, the younger generations sure are good with technology.

Seems the way it is, Cowboy. He had nothing to check. There were games on his ipad he played. I don’t think a 3 yr. old could read anything on the Internet. He must have heard others saying they had to check for email, etc.
It will definitely be a generation of kids with tunnel vision but smart as the dickens.
