Fictional Detective

in #books6 years ago

I am a detective fiction lover. I have read many crime and detective novels, online articles about this genre, books review etc. When you talk about fictional detectives there are some obvious choices like
Sherlock Holms by Arthur Conan Doyle
HERCULE POIROT'S and Miss Marple by Agatha Christie
Lord Peter Wimsey by Dorothy L. Sayers
Charlie Chan by Earl Derr Biggers etc.

This list is not complete and cannot be completed because, every person has his or her own choice. I just named these to give some kind of idea.

I want to talk about a detective may be you never heard about it.

I am talking about "Gilbert Larose," by Arthur Gask.

Gilbert Larose was member of Australian police force. In his very young age he was one of the best and shrewd detective in Australia. He is master of disguises. a great pistol shot, good detecting reason, a sympathetic heart, admirer of beauty etc

In initial novels Gilbert Larose works as Australian policeman and after that he migrated to UK where he worked in Scotland Yard.

This is a very brief introduction. I read almost whole series of this detective.

you can find this series on Gutenberg Australia and ebooks.adelaide.
