A Lake Walk at Dusk
Tonight was an excellent early evening for a nature walk around the lake. Peaceful and vast were my thoughts and visions.
The sun slowly dipped behind the trees.
The dragonflies were making their final rounds for the day.
Carefully gathering what nourishment they could for the long, dark evening.
While some were patiently considering their next move.
An ant was still hard at work negotiating the concave petals of a beautiful flower.
Tomorrow this flower will certainly host a wide variety of insect visitors, in addition to these ants.
A lone rose next to the pier, small with a brilliant scent.
Have a warm, peaceful evening my friends.
