How Difficult to Find a Dress When You Already Decided How it Should Be

This weekend was an extremely busy one. We had to find some female dresses of specific colors. We don't trust online clothing shopping as we have seen some people recieve totally different dresses afterward.

So we decided to go on the hard way as usual 😁.

Our plan was to start from Colombo. Because we believe some of the dresses we need are not easily available this area. Today I would like to share some of our experiences during each place.

First of all, we had an idea of where to go. We picked shops along Galle road from Galleface to Ambalangoda. Our plan B was Nugegoda and Maharagama areas, but for the first attempt, we picked the above areas.

First, we headed to The Fashion Store. We heard about this shop from a video. As same as the video says, TFS had good quality clothes for very lower prices compared to other shops. There was a big crowd as well. I must say they have a plus size section and also a great collection of Moose trousers with good colors. Unfortunately, we couldn't find what we need from there. So we move towards One Galleface mall, just go check the shop 'pepperstreet Co'

I saw PepperStreet Co from tik tok but really they don't share prices nor reply to comments. Anyway as we saw they had the dress we need, we were directed to this shop. Unfortunately, they were out of stock so we had to just walk around inside OGF. We couldn't find anything that we had on the plan. It was just a time waste.

The next stop was Uptown at Liberty. It was our first time there. Actually, we saw a green light as we sense that we can find something there. They had a really good collection for an average price. We could find one dress there. Eventhough the color is not exactly as it is the dress was a close match. We purchase some other general items too. Also, we got 50 rupees off on the parking ticket as an offer they give for bills over 5000 Rs.

Then still we had two more items remaining. We found items of several other colors but not the ones we want. Even closer. So we had to stop by many shops, house of fashion, fashion bug, spring and summer, Fashion Store Kolpity, Nolimit, and Glitz. Eventhough we couldn't find anything from Glitz at OGF, we could find something from Glitz Dehiwala. It was almost 4 pm when we stopped by there.

Now the challenge was finding the remaining item. We again stopped by Panadura super fashion. Actually, they had similar colors but the problem was the dress doesn't fit me properly. They were too short. Again we stopped by Richlook Kaluthara but no good news.

Thankful to my dedicated and supportive boyfriend I got a second day. So we stopped shopping on Saturday.
