Official Marketgrid Discord Server
Hello!
A few weeks ago I made a poll asking whether a discord server was wanted by the community. The majority answered yes to the poll so here it is.
Disclaimer: I'm sure there are some kinks to fix but for the most part it should be ready. If you find an issue, just pm me.
- When first joining the server, you will only be able to see the welcome channel. You MUST get a role to be able to perform trades. This should help us get rid of most spam.
- Your reddit account will be verified before you are approved unless you are a known community member to Neuralminer or me.
- You are not allowed to change your name on the discord server. (this is enforced by permissions)
- We highly recommend using an #escrow from the escrow channel.
- Do not trade illegal stuff on it, please.

My GRC bot is also loaded up in this server, I'm hoping it would be of use and allow trades to happen faster!
I am confused , the current people whom are the @operators on irc.freenode.org #gridcoin also have a discord server. I personally would like to be on one that is neutral and more accepting of people and a place where I can be part of the team and not feel like I am walking on thin ice let alone glass and constantly be attacked because people think their shit doesn't stink and they are better than everybody else because the ego flame wars are getting old ( if you read my recent post ) and am wondering if this would be a better place for me let alone another discord server to join in addition to the current one? Additionally I do not use reddit/facebook or any other social media where you/we the users are the merchandise and am an IRC junky from '93+ when EFnet was originally formed and am banned/shunned from the current #gridcoin freenode channels and long ago setup and donated a dedicated irc server with the intent to link with barton26 whom was going to setup a hub and possible leaf ircd and to enlist people from the current community as operators and admins with shell access to the host servers allowing the community to have their own ircd vs borrowing services like we currently do such as wiki as I feel we should have our own forum and services as the foundation has more than enough to pay for $4mo vps's from buyvm/frantech or crissic and i can list many other providers of dedicated/collocation and vps's like myself. Yes I did not want to spam the DNS/ip but its in my user info on every whitelisted project and I am wondering if this is something that is going to be different than what we already have. My ircd intent was so that we could have a set of rules and conduct per channel and actually utilize for example how freenode has #gridcoin #gridcoin-otc #gridcoin-help #gridcoin-dev #gridcoin-germany #gridcoin-sweeden #gridcoin-irpg and other private unknown channels and wanted to give a dedicated location for placement of different levels of user interaction since a help channel for new users would be a less appropriate place for us to converse about off topic things as some people want to talk hardware others marijuana ( its legal here in washington state ) and either subject may offend people as we have people whom are strait laced mixed with people whom like myself are booted and suited in Adidas outfits matching from head to toe and 14 piercings in my head/face alone and people whom are square and take offense to the littlest things. I am trying to find a place to fit in , I do not feel welcome anywhere and am trying to and want to know if this discord server is more welcoming and somewhere I will not be attacked constantly by users / admins and mods and be threatened? You mention NeuralMiner and right off the bat I already feel like I will not be welcome or feel welcome and since he personally dislikes me assume this is not a place for me... Although I would be more than happy to make him let alone Peppernrino along with fkinglag operators/admins on on the ircd ( actually they both are but only fkinglag joined ) as I have no problems with anybody , its everybody has a problem with me. Well , not the small crunchers whom thank me for the things I say and how I stand up for them and am not afraid of the whales and how we all are equal and all have an equal voice but in reality cater to the whales and if your a small cruncher your voice is ignored . Heck I have been around a year and a half and have no clue who you are , far as I have seen you are fairly new.
