Orchids

in #esteem5 years ago (edited)

I adopted an Orchid plant just over two years ago. Before too long one of the ‘branches’, started to die off. I do not have any experience with Orchid plants. So, I wasn’t sure what was wrong with it, or what to do next. Anyway, I snipped off the dying branch, and waited to see what will happen to it.

Luckily, after some time, a tiny shoot showed itself…

And then, there was another shoot...

And another...

And this is the Orchid plant today, looking healthy.

There are many varieties of Orchids. I have no idea which variety my Orchid plant belongs to. I am keeping my fingers crossed hoping that one day, it will bloom.

And here's a bed of beautiful Orchid flowers.

It looks very happy and I hope it blooms for you soon. I have two that I would love to see bloom, but they don't seem inclined!

Thank you Melinda. I guess you can't force them to bloom. They will bloom when their time to bloom comes. :-)
