Steemit Vision Quest week #3 Entry

This is my entry for the Steemit Vision Quest week #3 challenge "Angel's Among Us".
I'm trying to rundown more of my process this time.

This video highlights the beginning stages of painting in Corel Painter, with a Korg Kaosspad and Audio Expressions.
Using sound to cycle through colors.
This is my very favorite way to paint these days :-)

Unfortunately I didn't capture the whole painting process. I seem to get lazy and don't bother to record every time.

Here are the initial sketches I drew before scanning and painting digitally. I still enjoy good old mechanical pencil for good line work.

I tried to make a mandala shape on the computer but it didn't turn out how I wanted, so I decided to just hand draw it.

When I was coming up with ideas for the theme I wanted to have some kind of person who wouldn't be obviously an "Angel" or very powerful person. So I thought, how about a little girl and an old man.
The original Idea was for them to be walking down a sidewalk in a bustling city unnoticed by all the people. I really didn't have time to convey this whole scene, but I consider this a work in progress and I want to keep pushing it in that direction.
I thought some snow with a winter scene might contrast the "warmth" of the mandala shape behind the little girl as well.

Just some of my thought's while working on this piece.
