Hello FOOD LOVERS of the world of Steemit!

Welcome back to the 3rd Chapter of The Best Restaurant in each country of the World!

The first two lists received such a great feedback that I am more than motivated to present to you a list of another 8 restaurants in 8 different countries in the world, which i personally believe to be the best and would definitely visit it if I am travelling to that particular country!

I am actually making a list of each countries of the world!

Yes, you heard it right dear friends, each 196 countries of the world!

I will share a list of 8 countries per post! I hope you will like it and maybe the frequent travellers will find it a very useful tool when choosing where to dine!

So let's get started!

To kick start the list, let's travel to Kruishoutem!

BELGIUM

Celebrating it's 30th anniversary this year, this restaurant is awarded with 3 stars in the Michelin guide and ranked in the world top 50 restaurants!
Yes I am talking of Hof Van Cleve located in Kruishoutem!

Nicknamed the Godfather of Belgium cuisine, Chef Peter Goossens has been leading the brigade since 1987! His mission is to put a smile on the faces of all visitors to his beautiful farmhouse in the fields of Flanders.

Local produce is the backbone of the menu, but it is not limited to this only! Some ingredients from further afield are integrated seamlessly into dishes that balance tradition and modernity!

To discover our next restaurant, we will need to move to the Northern American Continent!

CANADA

Let’s face it: Canada isn’t exactly known for its haute cuisine. It is so rare to hear any Canadian restaurant making the list of world best! The last one to feature on the list was EIGENSINN FARM in 2003!

But there are some amazing restaurants in Canada and the one I would definitely like to visit is Alo in Toronto!
With Chef Patrick Kriss on the pass, Alo is an unabashed champion of fine dining, combining classical technique, global ingredients and a chic dining room with amazing views of the city.

Opened in 2015, Alo offers a tasting menu with dishes of extraordinary precision and technically accomplished!

South Africa

Ranked 22nd in the world 50 best restaurants in 2016, The Test Kitchen is by far my favorite restaurant in South Africa! Chef-owner Luke Dale-Roberts is one of South Africa's most celebrated chefs!
Synonymous with innovative gastronomic creations, fresh flavours and consistent excellence, he has on his own brought the South African food to the world scene!

Located in The Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstocks, Cape town, The Test Kitchen is a must visit if you are travelling in South Africa!

Let's head up to the fourth country on today's list, located in South East Asia!

TAIWAN

If ever you are in Taiwan, make sure to visit this wonderful restaurant which has been voted as Taiwan best this year! Yes dear friends, I am talking about RAW!
Since its opening in late 2014, Raw has become one of the hottest spots in Taipei, with its striking interior design and innovative menu.

With 3 chefs behind the pass, it is sure to be a lifetime diner experience! André Chiang, Alain Huang and Zor Tan are the maestros behind this amazing restaurant! All of Raw’s dishes are based on a few simple ingredients, carefully selected according to the island’s seasons!

Moving on to the next one, let's go to one of the world's best tourist destination!

MALDIVES

The first on today's list hailing from the South American Continent!

PERU

The last couple of years we have witnessed an amazing rise of the Peruvian gastronomy! Two of Peru's restaurant actually occupies the first and second place on the world's best Latin restaurant! Really a great achievement!

It was quite difficult to make a choice but in the end I decided to go with Chef Virgílio Martínez’s Central!
Central is now in its third year as No.1 in Latin America and Chef Virgílio Martínez is cooking alongside his head chef and wife, Pía, and says their work/life relationship is “a beautiful thing”.Wow!

Located in Lima, Central is an unmissable part of a voyage in Peru, with its tasting menu travelling from 25 metres below to 4,200 metres above sea level!

Let's travel back to Europe to discover the next on the list!

GERMANY

The restaurant Vendôme, near Cologne, headed by 3-stars michelin chef Joachim Wissler, is one of the best restaurants in Germany! Well known for his Avant-garde cuisine, chef Joachim Wissler is pushing the boundaries of German cooking in this lovely restaurant!

He is always re-imagining his country’s cuisine using international ingredients and techniques and the result is just wow!!!

Vendôme is ranked in the world best 50 and holds 3 stars in the Michelin Guide for 10 years now! Here you will find regional favourites and forgotten ingredients which are reinvented and brought to another level!

NIGERIA

If I get the opportunity to visit Nigeria one day, NOK by Alara will surely be on my list! It is situated in Victoria Island in Lagos and is a contemporary African restaurant!

At Nok, African classics are reinvented and given an annovative twist! You will find classics from Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast and of your Nigeria! Wow that would be indeed a great experience! Behind the pass you will find chef Pierre Thiam also known as the Senegalese pioneer of African cuisine!

The art and design of the restaurant is also contemporary with touch from all over the African continent.

Im a complete foodie but I do have to say most of this food looks more like taster samplers! I'd need 12 courses just to touch the sides!! 😂 I'd love to try the underwater restaurant in the Maldives. As for extreme stems..... wtf is that?!!!lol I mean it looks pretty but not something i'd like to eat but hey i'd give it a try! Thanks for the informative post on some of the crazy foods out there to try! 😉

You said it right @donnaincancun, most of the food forms part of long tasting menu, from 7 to 20 courses! I personally have a lot of respect for these chefs, as to reach that level requires a lot of hard work and knowledge! They are artists and really put their heart into their dish!

😲 20 courses... now that might work!! I agree the amount of work that goes into these dishes must be exhaustive. It really is edible art.

Like myself, I have been in the food industry for 15 years and I know what it means to be able to produce such refined food! These chefs are artists and spend their lifetime learning new techniques to be able to deliver such great dishes!
It is expensive but I think they deserve it too!

7 years and counting, not even half of your exp. still im grateful enough for have a chance to work with bocuse d'or candidate in here that expose me to another level sets of skill in cooking.

Luke Dale Roberts is amazing. I have never eaten at the test kitchen (it's very expensive) but I've always wanted go

I had a friend who actually managed to get a seat at the Test Kitchen and he told me it is really a unique experience and Luke Dale-Roberts is really an amazing chef!
Hope you experience it soon @princessmewmew! It is in your country afterall, you have to go one day!

LDR also has The Shortmarket Club, and The Potluck Club, both of which are supposed to much more affordable. I definitely would like to try one of them soon!
