THE PASTOR AND THE CHURCH CHOIR.

The oversight of the pastor over the church should be extended to the musical department of the church.

1. He should be meeting with the music committee from time to time to direct and encourage them to do better.

1. He should insist that all the members of the choir be Christians and spirit filled always.

1. The pastor should also insist that the choir will loyally support the service by preparing well and render their best service.

1. He can correct some of the anomalies of the choir by advising them privately.

1. He should ensure that there is cooperation between him and leaders of the choir in selecting hymns.

1. The pastor ought to pray for them or even pray with them if need be before entering the church for service.

THE PASTOR AND THE SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS:

A. He should select and train those who are faithful with the ability to teach for Sunday School teaching.

B. They must be Christians with some years of experience and spirit filled.

C. He should prepare them before they come to teach every Sunday and also supervise them when they are teaching.

D. He should gently correct and encourage them when need arises.

E. Insist that they will prayerfully prepare before coming to teach on Sunday.

THE PASTOR AND PRAYER TEAM:

1. It is the duty of the pastor to select members of this team and appoint a leader to head them.

1. He should assist, encourage, monitor and advise them so that they will bring blessings to the church and to their own lives.
   No church can succeed without prayer warriors who
   continuously pray for the good of it.

THE PASTOR AND VARIOUS ARMS IN THE CHURCH.

1. It is the duty of the pastor to see that men’s, women’s and Youth fellowships in the church will function properly and assist the church to achiever her set goals.

1. To this end he is to appoint or elect leaders for each of the arms, train and supervise their work.

1. The leaders should do nothing without first communicating to the pastor for approval.

1. The leaders who rule well should be encouraged from time to time.

THE PASTOR AND THE CHURCH FINANCE:

1. The pastor must avoid the temptation of becoming the church treasurer or financial secretary. Rather he should appoint faithful ones to handle the finance of the church.

1. He should encourage them to keep proper record of any monitory transaction for accountability purposes.

1. The method of raising fund for church work is found in the Bible e.g Exodus 35 and 36

1. Tithes and offering is another way or voluntary Vows and free will offerings, seed faith and other methods that are healthy and Biblical should be encouraged

1. Let the pastor see to it that he set a good example both in giving and honesty in other monitory matters.

THE PASTOR AND THE DEATH OF A MEMBER.

1. He should be the first to call in the family of the member to encourage them and to plan for the burial.

1. He has to inform the leaders and the members of the death and subsequent plan made with the deceased family.

1. All the right of the member stipulated in the policy should be given to the family; members should be encouraged to attend the burial.

While proper preparation should be made to reach the people with salvation message geared toward man’s end and destination.
