HOW TO CREATE A STEEMIT ACCOUNT ?
There are many ways to do so. I am not going to give you a step by step guide but I am giving you different sites you can do it and get your account right away.
It varies how fast you want it and how much you want to pay.
You have to pay nothing. Steemit takes care of that.
but you need to provide your email and your phone number.
You have to wait and sometimes you have to wait for weeks.
Usually it is a 24 hour waiting time to get your new steemit account.

You have to pay. As of now 5 steem and you will get some steempower to start your account. They do take LTC and BTC to open your account. No need for email or phone number. Please read carefully since you have to do other steps right after you receive your passwords.

You have to pay $45 to create a new account. You can use credit card or BTC. Their site is a review about steemit.
80% of the $45 go back to your new account.

Blocktrades
You definitely have to pay to use @blocktrades. It is a service inside steemit. Sort of like an exchange to get BTC, LTC, BCH, etc. They offer a recovery service to and you can register with their site for other steemit related business.
You can pay with almost 14 altcoins to open a new account. It is pricey for its speed.
I used them all the time cause it is fast for an exchange. Good service.

I will give a link where you can follow @timcliff advice to use this system. You have to be good like close to be a coder to use this application.
There you have it. No more complain about helping other get on #steemit. I know soon enough it will be a lot easier through steemit so far not today.

@pouchon Ths first one I did and using, so I can place the comment on your blog. For 2nd one, I have no idea. The 3rd one is takeing more money (Feeling sad).
