Although, IoT can benefit us many ways still there remains a lot of concerns which we should think about. IoT can be used by the government, corporations or the hackers to exploit people. The small scale data are processed in device and the large scale data are sent to the cloud. It is how this system operates to make sure that the data processing becomes fast and secure.

IONChain has an IPFS integrated in it which store data in different devices. It a makes the data procession much faster and also reduce the cost of storing data. The Value Generation Process of IONChain

The value generation process of IONChain follow four different stages which are briefly explained below:

Value Verification

During the first stage of value verification information are stored and converted into a special format. Then that information is sent for value verification. The IONChain infrastructure verifies the information using PoW/PoS combination consensus mechanism which can also be observed in blockchain based data transaction process.

Value Evaluation

The data evaluation is necessary to make sure that the same data isn’t sending twice in the node.

Value Confirmation

Once the data pass through the verification stage IONC is generated just like in mining a block is sealed once every transaction data of a block are recorded in it.

The Layers of Value Transfers in IONChain

The value generation process of IONChainhas to pass through six different layers which are explained below:

1. Application Layer

Application layer is the layer where transfer process is initiated. It actives the communication or network between the different devices and make sure they are ready to participate in data transfer.

2. Service Layer

In this layer logical mode of data transfers are implemented to verify the transaction of data. This layer stays in middle of the value transfer layer architecture.

3. Protocol Layer

This layer use or maintain a standard a protocol for data transfer so that communication between different devices can be established.

4. Smart Contract Layer

This layer ensures that the data transfer process between the different interconnected devices within a network follow a set of rules or agreement.

5. Blockchain Layer

The Blockchain layer ledger the transaction data before sending them in the storage.

6. Data Storage

It is the layer where data are stored for processing and performing actions.

In order to explain how IONChain can be used for building IoT Dapp a sample user case is mentioned below:

Car Parking System

The developers of an office have built a car parking system for the office employees. Using a car parking app the employees of the office can automatically assign a spot to its employees once they arrive at their office with their car.

The car of the employees connected to IoT system automatically parks itself in an open spot. The ‘IoT’ stores all the car parking data such as: who for how long was using the parking space etc. It helps the office employees to stay out of conflict regarding to the parking of their car.
